It slices meat nicely and is also great for bread. This is the second Hamilton Beach electric knife I've owned  as my last one was 10 years old and we wore it out! Great purchase at a great price, I highly recommend.

Quality unit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this electric knife about a month before the holiday season so I didn't know what I could use it on. No turkey or ham, so why not a cake?

I don't think I'll ever go back to a regular knife for cake cutting. The blades slice thru the cake like butter! No crumbly mess on the plate at all.  This was the most neat, clean cake cutting tool I have ever used.  I'm looking forward to trying it on meatloaf. Now I can't wait for the holidays to arrive so I can test it out on a turkey.

The case is a great feature. No more tangled cords in my cabinets. The case holds the motor & cord, the blades and a carving fork.

Very convenient kitchen tool. I don't know how I went so long without one because this knife is really an everyday use gadget.

The blades are sharp, and easy to insert & to remove from housing, for cleaning etc. Ergonomic handle fits easily in your hand, smooth easy trigger pull to engage the blade motion. The 5' foot cord makes it easy to move around while cutting your ham, turkey etc.

He hasn't used one in a very long time.  He will try it again on another type of meat and see how it works. It cut easily. The turkey was cut very nicely. We would recommend it.
