[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This surprise Elf toy is super fun. It looks like a snow globe and my daughter loves that. She wanted a friend for her elf, and she loves the surprise toys. So this was a slam dunk!

snow much fun!

Great idea! But whatever the snow is made of, it ruins the whole thing. The instructions say not to get it in the water system, well how else can you clean it up and what about getting it on your hands. Fun to see the figure appear and the snow is pretty but it's gummy and a horrible mess to clean up. So then you just throw it away.

Beware of the fake snow!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy inside is very cute and the process to get it out of the globe is simple but the ‘snow' that the toy is in is pretty gross. If you can get past that it's a cute surprise toy.

Snow is sticky and messy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids were very excited about this but they haven't played with it since they made the snow.  There were not any directions about how much water to add so I don't know if we added too much but the snow turned out very mushy. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Elf on the Shelf Snow Globe

I bought this for my 5 year old and was excited to have him add the water and find the hidden character inside. Upon unwrapping the globe, you can see the character sticking out already.  When you add the water it turns to a jelly type substance that is almost identical to what is found in a diaper. It is incredibly messy and hard to get off surfaces and hands. The character inside is a small cheap plastic toy, which is expected, but it doesn't even sit up properly on the stand in the snow globe if it you wanted to display it.

Not worth the $10

the description is way off and its so over priced. the child gets a 3second thrill and than the globe is filled with gook and cannot be played with at all. 
its just an item that the child gets a little figure but cannot do anything with after. you wld think it wld be something the child cld put the figure in and like a snow globe...but no way

cute but way over priced

says it's filled with snow but really the snow once you add water is pretty much the same material as the inside of a wet diaper. toy doesn't fit through the top so you have to break it open and inevitably get wet diaper goo all over the place. toy is comparable to quarter machine junk.
