I upgraded from a 1080p 30fps webcam with no software to help improve or play around with quality. Going from that to the Elgato Facecam was the one of the best upgrades I ever made to my set up solely for the integration in the Elgato Streamdeck and the functionality it brings.

What makes this camera extra special is the Facecam software which allows you to change between different shutter speeds and raise or lower the ISO.

This camera is truly at the top of the webcam range with all of the features it comes with. Seriously couldn't imagine being without it in my set up now.

ELGATO did what they had to do with this Facecam !

As a small time content creator who wants to start building my brand I recently purchased the Elgato FaceCam and have been very happy with the build and quality. While there is a bit of a learning curve it's worth putting the time into also there are super helpful tutorials on YouTube. I would highly suggest purchasing this when starting your journey.

Great for beginners

This is by far the most applicable camera for personal or professional broadcasting and podcasting due to it's clear glass optics, and DSLR type adjustments in its advanced Hub software.  It made total sense not to include a mic since you are going for maximum audio and video quality and can use an external synced sound source. I hope to see additional digital affects added to the hub software.

best Web Cam I have ever owned

I purchased this as a means to replace my DSLR, which i had to sell, and it works great! Perfect for any job, teams meeting? Great! Streaming? GREAT! The Camlink Software is second to none as well! You get what you paid for and this is a worthy purchase!

Great For Any Situation!

I bought a Facecam to replace my overhead facing down DSLR for spray paint art streams. I was unsure at first with the fixed focal range but any doubts I had were squashed as soon as I plugged it in. The picture is great and the downloadable software makes adjusting the picture super simple. As long as what your looking to capture is not like 5ft or further away this camera and price point is hard to beat!

Excellent choice

The image quality is great, as many reviews have pointed out. The field of view is just right for most uses. Auto exposure works great, compensation setting works great. Less artifacts than competing cameras because of the uncompressed feed.

The white balance is problematic in the same way as most other webcams:

Auto white balance: it looks at the whole image, so the color of your shirt or background can confuse it and produce a reddish face.

Manual white balance: you don't have access to the full internal controls used by the automatic white balance; so you can't ever get to the same point manually as the automatic system can go.

The worst feature of this webcam is that it is very picky about cables and ports. I found a couple of combinations (among many cables, computers, and ports) that work, and most do not. I'm hoping to find a third party USBC-both-ends cable that works, as the included cable is USB-A on one end and officially no third-party cable is supported. Still, if it works with the ports you have, and you can color your background in a way that makes the white balance get your face color right, this is an *excellent* camera, among the handful of best available webcams.

I was hopeful this camera was as good as the bloggers say but it just is not anywhere close to good. I use a plethora of cameras for content creation and this is no better than any logitech webcam. Image quality is poor and I cant find one feature worth keeping.  This camera's image quality is very low, grainy even with studio lighting, color balance is strange. I would say stay away from this webcam as you will be disappointed.

All Hype, No Performance

Received.. TODAY. Was SUPER excited and very underwhelmed... Had to unplug and replug the camera 5-10 times in order to get the Driver to install properly(Yes, USB3.2 Port). I tried scooting the camera over on my monitor once I finally got it working in OBS, it shut off. I moved it am inch... I replaced the cable with the HD60S+ cable and it fixed the driver and shutting off. I still have a VERY annoying refresh line at both 50 and 60 Hz. The Unit isn't just LIGHT. It is CHEAP. Disappointing that my outdated C922 is outperforming this Camera. I had high hopes with all the reviews I have watch, but a let down. QC is either lacking, or something has changed.

Visible Refresh and Came with a bad Cable

The software doesn't control the camera well, It resest itself everytime and loses saved properties. It over compensated upon opening, than becomes normal if you select a value. It doesn't show a preview in 1080p60 you have to go in 1080p30 to arrange your lighting.

For the lense, A fixed ultrawide lenses was not the best choice for my setup. I software zoomed all day. Should'n have bought it
