I’ll be honest, I use it for a dual PC setup, because I can play on my PC without any problem, but with OBS Studio at 1080p60FPS, there the game becomes jerky. I use a laptop as a dedicated machine for recording, but not for streaming because this PC is not plugged into the internet with a wire. For sound, you need to plug the gaming headset on the back of the PC (not USB, but the jacks), activate the "Stereo Mixing" in the sound settings, check "Listen to this device" in "Registration", "Microphone" and "Stereo Mixing" Choose Elgato (See photos). This way, you will have the sound and the microphone on your PC and towards USB 3.0 of your recording or streaming PC (Elgato). For the small audio jack on the case, it is not a sound output, nor a microphone input, but an analog line input. Be careful! After, depending on the screen source, take care to go to your graphics card software (AMD, NVIDIA, etc.) to see the color format, framerate, VRR, etc., as well as in the Windows settings of your screen because I saw people mention display problems, and put 0 stars for that. Also, be sure to go see the settings in your Elgato software of your recording PC, as there are also options that can change the video and audio inputs. After that, if you record in 1080p60FPS, even a laptop from a few years ago can do the job, even if it’s a bit below the requirements for capturing and recording. Ah, what’s worse, personally, I don’t feel any extra latency with HDMI input, and output, and USB 3.0 to the recording PC. In all and everywhere, it took me two days to tweak my settings. For people who know very little about computers, it’s quite difficult, but not impossible. Very good product anyway!

Very good product, but requires configuration

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to test the HD60X already and I'm simply stunned by it. It has compared to the previous capture cards 0 delay! 4K Recordings with HDR are looking absolutely stunning and it's once again small and very handy to include this into your setup!

The only cons I'd have is that I experienced it during a livestream that the sound of the game was buzzing every now and then. Unplugging the Cables and plugging them in fixed it for me though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using a dual PC setup for years, and one thing that has always been an issue for me has been screen tearing (both on my monitor and on stream). I now can have high frame rates and not worry about the quality of my stream with stream tearing. Plus, the new design with all of the plugs on the back make it so much easier to place on my desk without clutter.

And the cherry on top - super low latency capture, not just pass-through. It's even lower latency than the internal capture cards.

With the HD60 X, I no longer need to compromise!

I bought the Elgato HD60 X with one thing in mind 1440p 60fps recording. I got it about 4 days ago and everything so far is good with its functionality! I unboxed it, it was sleek, easy to connect to my setup, and looks clean vs the Elgato HD60 S+. My favorite thing about this capture device is that it passes through 4K60 HDR but make sure you have the correct HDMI cables for it to work properly! It also records in 1440p 60FPS! The only thing that could make this the perfect device is for Elgato to create a 4K Capture Utility software for Mac users. Other than that I have no gripes! Love this cap device!

It's Slim, Fast! Loving 4KHDR Passthrough!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upgrading from the HD60S + this new capture is definitely a nice upgrade for my desk setup as well as my new consoles. While many of its new features are great for future proofing yourself with VRR and 4K60 pass through, certain monitor hardware limits what I was able to achieve with this capture card, for now. Capturing in 1080p60 was a breeze and HDR pass through to my monitor worked like a charm which was great to see. While I was weary about true 4K60 capture, I realized I don't even export in 4K as 1080 still feels suffice for YouTube and Twitch can only output 1080 at the moment, so the 4K capture wasn't that huge for me. 

It's plug and play use is still what makes the Elgato cards top notch especially for traveling creators. For those with single monitors, the low latency is truly lower than any previous card, while you won't be able to play competitive games this way, single player adventure games can be played directly through the 4K Capture Utility if needed. If you were in the market for a new card and are using newer Gen consoles then this card is the way to go, do I think HD60S + users should upgrade right away? Not at this moment and if you do, I'd maybe consider the 4K60 Pro Internal Capture Card if your setup allows it. 

While I'm not a Mac user, seeing a lot of the features limiting Mac Users is one of the main reasons I gave this 4/5 stars.

Beautiful Design, Perfect for Console Content!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product works as advertised... Mostly. You'll be getting your 4K, 60hz, VRR passthrough with 1440, 120hz. Except sometimes my Xbox Series X did not have 1440p as an option. It was very intermittent. The 4K Capture Utility also gave me issues with recording but I'm not attributing that to this card in particular. 

The quality of the captures was good as well as the HDR and VRR. Also love the move for the majority of the ports to be on the back for a more streamlined experience. The only correct card to buy for next gen gaming.

Great step in the right direction!

It works, I personally think it should come with a chat link cable because u can't play games and capture the audio while wearing ur own headset (needed if you want to talk in a party) unless you get one. It's only $15 more but an inconvenience to order if u don't have any in ur area like me.
