I love my new Maxi-Matic Elite Platinum 12-Cup Percolator.  Works well.  Looks great.  I can even watch my coffee maker percolate, which is what I was looking for - instead of the standard, these days, coffee maker.

It's a bit different from what I was used to, but after I started using it, I came to like it. It doesn't stay on continuosly so the coffee doesn't always stay hot and continue to brew, eventually getting that burnt taste. It still stays hot for a long time but if you wait too long for another cup, you may have to push the button and run it through again. It brews really quick though. You will need to wash it really good before the first use, as it does have a weird aluminum or tinny taste at first.

Makes good coffee fast

Loved the hot coffee.  I have tried other popular coffee makers such as Keurig and drip  and was so disappointed that the coffee quickly cooled down and the rich coffee taste was just not impressive.  The Maxi matic is fantastic.  I love it.

I just honestly dont have a dislike in this coffee pot, its really fast, and the coffee is great and hot. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another just like it should the need arise

Just facts

It makes coffee more quickly than my drip coffee maker did. There is something loose inside the black base on the pot. It rattles when I move the pot around.

It brews well and is quiet. The design is stylish. I don't like that it cuts off when I take off the base. If I don't come back right away for more coffee it's no longer hot merely warm. I will most likely be getting a different one.

I bought this coffee pot because I like that it comes off the base to serve the coffee.  It leaks everywhere. Leaks while brewing and while pouring.  It shuts off automatically after 20 minutes and needs to be restarted.  I would not suggest purchasing this percolator.

Think Twice Before Purchase

I love everything about this percolator except it does not keep the coffee warm after brewing. The description is sort of misleading. While the is a "blue light warming feature" it goes off after lifting the carafe off of the base and pouring the first cup of coffee. The coffee brews hot and tastes great. However at best the coffee will stay warm for about an hour where in my opinion it is warm enough to drink. But only if I pre-heat the cup and cream before pouring the coffee.  

If the carafe were made like a thermos where the coffee would remain at the brewing temperature for at least four hours...this would be the perfect percolator.   I purchased the percolator because I wanted an electric coffee maker with parts I could disassemble to clean after each use. I really don't like the auto drip pots with the plastic water reservoir, tubing  and filter basket. I am returning the percolator and resorting back to my stove top enamelware drip pot. 

I hope these reviews reach the manufacturer and they take note of consumer interests. You are close...but did not reach the finish line.   What happened to the thermoses with the glass liners that kept the contents hot all day? That should be the reference point for making the carafe.

Great coffee for limited amount of time

Black smoke came out of the bottom, smelled like melting plastic.  In the short time that it worked, we did not like that it stopped warming the coffee after we poured the first cup.  Even after hitting the button to restart it, the blue warming light did not stay on very long.

We received this Perculator on Dec. 15th and it quit working on January 3, 2021.  I returned it for refund.  The coffee pot does not stay hot after pouring and replacing on the base.  Therefore you have to push the button after each cup to keep the pot on.  Very annoying.  I would not recommend buying this perculator.
