This file cabinet is decent, but there are a couple of issues to watch for. First, the wheel on the bottom drawer is a problem if you have a carpeted floor. We had to work to raise the file cabinet so the bottom drawer would slide properly. Secondly, the drawers themselves seem like they don't go in all the way. It appears like maybe they should go in further, but then they don't. The drawers do slide decently and there's ample space in the drawers which are positives.

Had I known it would have been very difficult and time-consuming to put together, I NEVER would have purchased this file. My first reaction when I opened the box was, "You've got to be kidding me! I am not an engineer! This is a joke!" There were "a million" different pieces of pressed board, and at least a dozen different sizes and types of screws. I could not do it--it was overwhelming. I felt like throwing all the pieces back in the box and returning it, but it was so heavy that shipping it back would have been very expensive. I had to ask two people who are more experienced in putting furniture together to do it for me, and then I felt bad because it took no less than 6-7 hours of steady work and concentration to assemble it. It is DEFINITELY not worth the price. You can easily find quality files already put together for this price, if not lower. And the quality of this file is not very high. I wish someone had written a review before I purchased it, as it would have saved me so much aggravation and money. So unless you like difficult challenges, my advice is DO NOT BUY THIS!!!

Another issue is the bottom drawer is very difficult to open/close if you put this file on carpet. It drags on the carpet. It should have been raised higher off the ground.

I wish I could return it, even now that it is finished. It was a waste of money, time, and effort.
