It's been 3 months since I bought it for my wife . She loves having her coffee stay hot.  I'd say it was her best Christmas gift this season. I can't think of any negatives; I'm hoping it will last. She uses it everyday! She dislikes having her coffee get cold.  In times past,  she would have to keep pouring from the coffee pot and now she no longer needs to do that.

My daughter bought me my first Ember maybe 5 years ago and. And I couldn't live without it. I'm outside a lot in the cool mornings and working on my yard. I get hot coffee for hours!  No more running in to microwave my cold coffee. Just bought on for the cabin.

I am a raving fan of this little cup--and I was Very Skeptical of a plug-in mug. (Do we really need this?!) YES, we do need this! I strongly prefer my coffee hot, and I love that my coffee stays the exact same temperature all the way to the very very last drop.

How did we live without this??

Love it! This is my second Ember. The first was a gift from my daughter. I decided to get the 14oz as well. I can take my time going over emails in the morning and my coffee stays hot the whole time. No getting up and down to refresh my cup. The price is a bit steep, but it's a great product.

I have owned an ember mug for years and it finally quit charging.  Thought I would try a cheaper version. This one is much lighter. Has the same charging capabilities. It keeps my coffee hot but the battery doesn't seem to last as long per charge as the ember. I have to turn it on by pushing the power button located on the bottom of the mug at each use which is a little annoying. It also tends to leave fingerprints on the mug and charger which I do not like. But for the price, I would say I'm satisfied. If the ember mug would go on sale, I would probably purchase before this one but it's definitely worth purchasing if you don't want to spend the money on the ember.

I purchased this much and loved it! Loved it so much that I bought it in white and black! Two months later I notice the coating is starting to peel on the white mug. They sent a replacement and now the replacement is starting to peel!/

Great job but terrible coating

Two stars: one for a great idea and one for poor execution. I've owned or given as gifts 6 mugs. Some mugs worked well even though the apps did not. The new 14oz mugs would not accept a change to the temp. The latest version of the app is worse than earlier versions. Bluetooth fails half the time -- not with other devices. Pairing unreliable. Note: I am an experienced user  with a background in technology. If I am unable to deal with the problems, what is the average user to do?

Sad... No Progress Over The Years

I was so excited about, and happy with, this mug.  However, in less than one year the coating inside the cup began coming off and it doesn't feel safe to drink from it now.  Very disappointing considering the cost.  And apparently the “ limited warranty” doesn't cover that.

Would not buy again

Ordered this cup for my wife and we were both excited for her to use it, as it takes her half the day to drink her coffee. Unfortunately the battery dies pretty quickly when heating up and takes a long time to do so. Also, the cup wouldn't heat up past 137°. If this would change I would order again.
