[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty cool idea!----attaching a toilet seat to a huge 5 gallon Lowes bucket was a genius idea!--we have had power outages --one lasting almost four days!--If we had had this seat and bucket, it would have been so much easier on us!--no power means no water to flush!--Heavy duty trash bags will save the day for us-- coupled with this seat and bucket idea!--YES, YES, YES I highly recommend this bucket toilet seat  to all--a truly great product!

Fits good and tight, more comfortable than I thought it would be, and doubles as a sturdy seat, too. Follow the installation instructions, and all will be well. I placed it on a Homer bucket, and it fit tight and secure.

Much better than I thought it would be.

I weigh 125lb.
If you weigh 170, the seat is too small.

handy for little people

The description says that it fits "most" 5 and 6 gallon buckets.  I tried it on 5 different buckets and it would not snap down on any of them.  I finally sawed off the top lip off one of the buckets, and then the seat fit.  Sturdy and well made, other than the fit problem.

Emergency Toilet Seat Cover

The "Hinge Pin" is hard molded as a part of the seat. There are clips for it on the lid, also molded in. The Hinge Pin is then snapped into the clips.
There are also holes on the side of the lid, for the Hinge Pins to extend through.
There is nothing to stop the lid from sliding Side to Side on the seat. And when it does, and you desperately try to open it, it will. And the pins will bind. And then snap off.
Also, don't ever drop this when the temperature is below about 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The HARD plastic it is made from breaks easy.
Good Luck with that last part. It doesn't clip to the bucket very well, either. This means, on a Warm Afternoon, it's going to stick top your bottom, and fall off as you stand up. CRACK. Too bad there isn't an Industry Standard for how big buckets are.
