We purchased multiple packages of the Black Magic color of fire glass for our revamped gas fireplace, and we're really happy with it! We have an open burner type of fireplace, and cast iron skulls...you can guess where this is going, it's gothy and fun, and the black glass is the perfect complement to the other features. Love the glass- it's reflective and shiny, but also dark and creeeepy. Perfect!

Although a nice idea and look, the glass "pops" when heated.  Some of the glass shards "popped" our of the firepit landing on the ground nearby.  Had it landed on a person it would have clearly burned them.
