Print Performance

Ink Usage

I bought this to convert into a sublimation printer to get started off and it was such a good value. Prints as expected, happy I didn't try spending $$$$ first before trying this hack

Converted to a sublimation printer

walmart.com

Great printer, does what a printer should do with the addition of scanning and emailing. I'm rounding up to 5 stars just because it clearly states that it doesn't print double sided, but that's the only thing holding it back from being a perfect printer.

Great basic printer

i love this! i had a hp i hated it..kept dropping the network so i quick the ink payment i wasnt using it...then i discovered they shut my printer off! i will never get another hp! this one works great!

Inexpensive color printer and copier for home use. So far works well and ink is very easy to refill. I primarily use it to make copies and print tickets I cannot save to my Apple Wallet. I marked it down one star because it took me awhile to figure out where to leave paper for copying and printing. I was used to having a dedicated paper tray which this printer does not have.

I use this printer for home. Love that the ink is affordable. Hate that this is my 2nd printer in two years because when the ink tank is full you have to send it in. You can replace the pads but Epson will not allow you to reset to continue printing. Such a waste of time and money.

For several years I had the earlier version of the Epson echo tank and it was great, no issues. but then I think the rollers got old and wouldn't grab the paper any longer. so even though I was not in the market for a new printer, I was forced into it. so I got the newer model of the same one that I'd had. And I've had setup problems and connection problems, and a constant blinking light which is baffling. Planned obsolescence, it seems to be the name of the game.

Disappointed

The box says up to 3 years of ink supplied, that's a lie. The print is very light, the yellow is non existent. I contacted Epson Support, but no support, just stupid unrelated questions. I will return this and get the HP eco tank version. My office runs that model, I know it works as expected!! I feel I am being nice with a 2 star rating.

Extremely Difficult and Frustrating Setup

I recently purchased the Epson EcoTank ET-2900 and spent approximately six hours getting it connected and operational. The printer’s display is extremely small, making it very difficult to enter a Wi-Fi password—especially one containing a combination of letters and numbers. The Epson Smart Panel app repeatedly failed to connect, and Windows recognized the printer but initially showed that the driver was unavailable.

After considerable troubleshooting, manually entering the Wi-Fi password, removing duplicate printer entries, and reinstalling the official Epson software, I was finally able to complete the setup.

I have not used the printer enough to fairly evaluate its print quality, reliability, or ink efficiency, so this review is based solely on the installation experience. I hope the printer performs well now that it is working, but Epson needs to make the setup process far more straightforward and user-friendly. A larger display and clearer instructions would make an enormous difference.

I hate this printer! I converted it for sublimation printing, and the print quality has been terrible. My designs kept printing with lines running through them, including a tumbler design I was trying to make.
I spent hours troubleshooting it and trying different things to get a clean print. I wasted sublimation ink, paper, and a ridiculous amount of time. Cleaning the printer also used up even more ink.
Thankfully, Walmart refunded me and told me I could keep it. Now I'm saving for a better sublimation printer. This was way too frustrating for me.

I’ve never owned such a frustrating item! I have found out It is a common problem that you cannot print from your iPhone, iPad, etc. The printer keeps updating IP address or something not it won’t even stay connected to my Wi-Fi. This is an expensive paperweight. I have had this for less than 60 days but unfortunately, I am out of the return time window.??? I thought I had 90 days with Walmart, I will rethink being a Walmart plus member for sure!

Horrible paperweight
