I have purchased the off-brand XL or not ink cartridges. they do not work I find myself having to change them more than just buying the Epson and when I take them out to change there feels like a lot of ink left but it doesn't read with the printer. so my advice stick to the brand name.

I've tried ordering online with other companies to find a cheaper price and they don't work or have issues with the printer recognizing it.  This is just easier and always works prooperly.

Reliable

Always buy name brand suggested, not generic!  I had purchased off brand with new computer.  When I went to use the ink, it would not fit, even supposed to!  Oh well, I leaned a lesson!

Don't ever order the off brand like I did before would not work in printer a waste of time %26 money ALWAYS order the Epson brand its worth the time %26 extra you have to pay for name brand!

Name brand ink

I had to write this review to correct my last review. These ink cartridges work just as they are intended to work. I reviewed the last one and said it was horrible, and that the yellow tape was missing so it had dried out. WRONG!! The yellow tape was on the top, not the bottom where it had always been on past products. Also, it had curled into a little tube so the yellow was not visible, and I didn't see it at first. Once removed the cartridge worked as it should as do the three colored cartridges from this most recent purchase.

I was wrong; they work fine.

This ink package gives good quality coloring but the inks doesn't last at all. I barely do print my work in colors but yet I find that all the inks just seem to run out without even 15 pages of documents on standard typing sheet. If I have to be feeding this printer so much ink these cartridges needs to be cheaper. I already bought 2 packs in less than a month and right now I have to get another because my printer is out of ink again. I like that the installation is easy but it runs out too quickly.

Good quality but poor value for money

The ink cartridge is just what it is.  I am disappointed in myself for being lured in by the price of the printer, which performs nicely,  BUT  The darn thing runs out of ink every time I use it...  Cartridge is too small even the big size.  I should have gotten a different brand of printer or looked at the number of pages the useless cartridges would print before it ran out

Check the number of prints it will provide BEFORE

I bought this Epson brand of ink cartridges %23232 for my printer that cost $65.00 because the refurbished Epson ink cartridges will not work all of a sudden in that Epson 4200 XP printer. 
The  brand new Epson ink cartridges received last week will not work or they are either empty or broken.
I am not sure how to fix this problem or if I can still return it. so I will buy another one elsewhere and see what happens. I am. it a happy camper

I hate that Epson has made it that you have to buy their ink only. It is way over priced.   I have to spend $10-20 more for the same ink that I could get third party. It is cheaper these days just to buy a new printer. I went to paying to get my stuff printed somewhere.

Not worth it to pay for name brand

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!  If you purchase this printer, Epson installs a firmware that you can only use their printer cartridges.  It will hold your printer hostage if you use 3rd party printer ink.  You cannot install any other firmware to this printer.
