Dry Skin Relief

Cheap, simple, and weirdly essential.

It is literally just petroleum jelly… but it works for everything. Dry skin, lips, healing spots, even random “why is my skin doing this” moments.

No scent, no irritation, just basic protection that gets the job done.

A little greasy, obviously, but that is kind of the whole point.

Not fancy at all, but one of those things you end up using way more than you expected.

It helps keep squirrels out of my bird feeders. it is waterproof after a rain.   i smear vaseline on pole once a week and is working to save my sunflower seeds for wild birds 🐦 🐦‍⬛ 🙃 
sounds crazy but it works!

Comparable to name brand and works just as good. Price is lower than name brand, which is what everyone is looking for. Works miracles on dry chapped skin, healing in 2 days tops. Never had anything work so fast on dry cracked hands from cold weather.

Works wonders on dry skin

I love how big this jar of petroleum jelly and I feel Equate products deliver good results. I use this when I'm at home and I use a small size scented Vaseline version for when I'm out and about. I was burnt badly and went to the burn unit in ICU a few times and ever since my lips are 24/7 dry more than anything and there's no doctor prescribed chap stick or cream for badly chapped/dry lips. My lips dry so easily and I need to apply this throughout the day. It won't, however, no matter the brand, will stay put on my lips overnight. It takes the dryness and even burning immediately away as soon as I apply it. It really soothes my dry lips. They're so dry in the morning that my lips will be bright, bright pink until I wash my fash and apply this petroleum jelly and my lips will be back to it's maroon like color. It's not the jelly's fault and I'll apply it to any small cuts and helps my injury to heal very quickly. I'll also apply it to my dry elbows. Definitely does the trick.

I have a problem with dry patches on my elbows, and it gets rather expensive trying to trat them with all tje different loations and "THE" Name Brand Petrolium Jelly, but this one doese the job just fine at a fraction of the price.

This seems to do as well as Vaseline does for most needs and you get about 5 or 6 times as much for the same price! Unless you have so much money that you want to throw some of it away, this is a VERY GOOD buy!     Tim R.

More for your money

Noticeably different from the leading brand, in both texture and quality. I bought this thinking it would be comparable in quality but better value for my money. Next time I would just buy the name brand instead. This has a weird texture, grainy but also very thin. I don't recommend it. Just feels like grease without any moisture-locking benefit. Use this for like, greasing mechanical parts, not for your skin...

Im not sure if the formula changed, but it's thinner and so oily that it doesn't  absorb enough after you clean you fingers after you've applied it to your skin.

There must be something severely wrong with petroleum jelly manufacturing right now, because over the last couple months every time I've tried to buy any (from both Vaseline and Equate) it's had an overpowering nasty rancid gasoline smell. You couldn't pay me to put this junk on my body.

[And to any smart-alecks out there, yes I am aware that petroleum jelly is made from petroleum. I've been using it my whole life and it has never had any odor, certainly not one as horrible as the last 3 tubs I've had to toss. If table salt suddenly developed a stench of chlorine, people would get pretty mad about that too.]

Figured I would try to save a few pennies and purchase the equate brand petroleum jelly rather than name brand. Unfortunately, it is not nearly as thick and almost feels watery when applied. Will not purchase again.
