I am very pleased with this item. It is sturdy and solid and comes with a variety of installation options. I have a heavy, vintage oak desk and the clamp   bolt options for attaching worked very well. The instructions are clear and it was quite easy to assemble. Best points: The tray glides in and out smoothly and the locking lever holds it solidly in place at your chosen height. I particularly like that when the lever locks, it locks AWAY from the user, so you don't have to worry about scraping your knee on it. A well thought out office device. Would buy again. Nice job, Ergotron.

Well Made, Well Designed Desk Accessory

This is the best one I   have found, bought Fellows brand with the clamps so there were no screws but it was flimsy and for 20 dollars more this one beat it out by far.  This one does REQUIRE AT LEAST 2 TO 4 SCREWS.  I it's a heavy piece of metal,  compared to Fellows brand.  

Q did not realize this when I bought it,  but in the end I was able to use screws at work.  Looks sturdy and adjusts  nicely to different Heights. Looking forward to better posture at work.

Very solid, heavyweight construction.   Easy to install -- I used the four-screw, permanent installation but the clamp would be even easier.  Love the range of motion, and no wiggle.  Only shortfall, and it's minor, would be to add a non-slip surface to the platform.
