I like the Workfit-S surface accessory, it compliments the Workfit-S, Single LCD Mount for keeping pens, papers or small items handy. It is not essential, however.

Seems expensive for just a shelf but this is engineered to perfection and fit perfectly. It's also large enough to put a lot of stuff on it. I like that some of it extends behind the monitor which gives me a place to keep office odds & ends like a stapler. They are readily accessible but don't clutter up the sight line to the monitor. This thing is worth getting just for the handle in front. It is in the perfect location to raise and lower the Work Station. Delivery was fast. Great product.

Better than I thought

The Ergotron WorkFit-S stand for the Ergotron workstation is the perfect complement. With the stand I can now put paper documents above the keyboard to read. Separately, it is an excellent spot for an ipad. It will have a significant impact on your ability to maintain your efficiency while protecting your back by standing. Walmart has a great price on it.
