Only have done my first batch. Came out great. I like the fact that it is a glass jar for the yogurt. The green outside color is cute.Came with thermometer which helps while cooling down simmered whole milk. I left it in for 12 hours, then you may have to refrig it first to firm up, and spill off the top any liquid ea. day. I hear the unit go on and off to regulate temp and hope it does not fail in time. I have plain yogurt for now, it is good to calm stomach issues while on meds. However, this unit is a bit chinsy - the jar lid_ has a styro liner instead of a good gasket like others. No timer, thin outer plastic lid which can break any time. The $55 cost is about $25 too high, not enough in this kit for this price!

Works well first time, but too costly..

The yogurt maker and excellent (as well as the container and the cheese bag) I remove a star for the instructions of use that introduces us into errors. Soy yogurts are not made like milk. 2- Even the instructions for milk is wrong (putting the culture in the milk at 180 F and then putting everything in the yogurt maker is not a good idea). 2- I remove a star for the thermometer which is imprecise and although calibrated, can not hold an accurate reading when the milk heats up or cools down. In short, buy a basic yogurt maker and you will be less disappointed.

I have 2 of these yogurt Makers in the red color. mine have never gotten hot enough.the yogurt too thin.Im going to try wrapping them in towels. I don't know if putting some water inside of them would help. Any advice is welcome
