Description Accuracy

Accommodates small to medium-sized puppies.

Can be straightforward, but may require effort or adjustments.

Suitable for standard doorways and easy to use.

This extra wide and tall gate worked great for the wide opening between kitchen and dining room to corral a 3 month old pup. I didn't use the attachments to make it permanent, cause it was not needed. Built strong and sturdy too and I received my order the next day after ordering from the local store even though I chose Shipping for this purchase!!

Perfect Puppy pen!

Great for wide openings

Nothing fancy but does the job. Toddlers haven't pushed it over yet. I marked it with a black marker the groove I put it in. Someone unfamiliar isn't sure how to open but that's no biggie. Once you open it a few times you'll get used to it. Our wall mounted one pulled out of the wall so I went back to basics.

Basic tension does the trick

This gate was a lifesaver. Our permanent Trex gate is back ordered. I needed to keep our 2 small dogs contained and it was perfect, plus moderately priced.

Just right!

I love these taller gates for my pups as they can't jump over them.

Great east gates

I catsit for people, and only do one cat at a time, but this week, I'm fostering a kitten... So I needed a set of baby gates to keep the kitten safe from the big boy cats. I double stacked these child gates in the doorway of a spare bedroom and they work perfectly to keep the kitten separated from the adult cats.

Great pet gates!

I love this gate because even my 2 year old can't come close to climbing over the top of it. It fits perfectly in the door opening at the top of my stairs. I by no means have to worry about it toppling over and her falling down in the middle of the night.

Perfect gate

I am a loyal Evenflo gate customer now for 2 generations and was excited to find a gate that was taller and wider for my living room opening. I found the gate latch being very difficult to unlatch unless locking bar is in just the right “spot” And the side of the gate being split where the locking bar is inserted and the end of locking bar being what looks like chewed. Very disappointed.

Disappointed

Very disappointed in the durability of how this gate was made. I had these gates years ago for my own kids and then daycare and loved them. Now 10 years later it is not strong enough to hold a 9lb puppy from going into another room. This is not worth the money, especially when you are getting it for safety reasons.

This is not the same gate as in the picture...which has a metal U-clamp on the end piece that you open to adjust sizing. I originally had the gate that's in the photo it worked fine for several years for my dog; it just got old and finally broke so I bought a new one at my local Walmart an hour ago. Instead of the metal U-clamp on the end, it has a sliding plastic "Gate Latch" with a tab on it (uploaded photo). Per the directions, you have to "push tab on Gate Latch and slide Gate Latch off the locking bar." The "tab" does nothing, (though appears as if it should lock into place...it does not) and any decent CEO of a company as large as Evenflo should realize that hard plastic is NOT flexible, and by pressing the tab it will break after a few uses. A child could easily slide this off, loosen the bars, and knock the gate over. Very cheap design flaw to save the Evenflo company a few bucks, line the pockets of their CEOs with huge bonuses, and give the customer something they will soon have to replace. I'll be driving this right back over to return it.

Poor latch design/material: NOT SAFE for children!

Evenflo Position & Lock Tall & Wide Baby/Pet Adjustable Gate (31" - 50" Wide) pressure-mounted baby gate with wood frame and coated wire mesh, 31 in. (79 cm) tall, fits 31–50 in (79–127 cm) openings; lift-and-lock latch secures closure.
