When it works (it is charged), it works great. I installed it as part of an EVO-One based system in a Trailblazer using the Omega Flash-Link programmer. Hindsight being 20/20, I would not have bought this if I knew how difficult it is to recharge. This is a classic great idea that was poorly executed. I can see now why this device is not highly marketed and is difficult to find.

The remote itself is a great design and easy to see and use. Making it rechargeable avoids buying batteries. Why in the world they did not put in a micro or USB C port escapes me. Instead, there is a convoluted USB-A quasi-tab that you have to lever out (a problem in and of itself) and lock into place. Good luck getting it into a regular USB port, it's too short. Unfortunately this one died while my wife was out of town and she could not get it to recharge even using a USB A to A extension cable. Fortunately she was able to use the regular key to lock
