Perfect for quick snacks, or adding a little crunch to meals. A reliable pantry classic that never goes out of style.

First, these are hard crackers, not soft. Not sweet. They are not cookies. They are plain. Ideal for serving with various toppings and fillings -peanut butter, egg salad, bully beef, mackerel/ sardines. Cheese. Can be served with soups, great for dunking in coffee or tea. Again, not for those who believe in soft and sweet. The cracker is a foil and base for savory or sweet toppings. 
If you have a sick child on a soft food diet, boil water and pour over some of these in a bowl. Leave for 5 minutes, then drain water. Add a dab of butter and a sprinkle of salt and you have an easily eaten delicious snack for your child. “Soaked crackers” is the name of that recipe. Those who know, know.
