When I connected it to my laptop I had to go to Microstore and get a DVD player program. After installing program it worked perfectly. The design allowed me to connect to laptop and still have room for mouse.The picture was so clear and it's lightweight design allowed me to store it case with laptop allowing it to be very portable.

Works as expected.  Easy to connect and get running.  None of my computers have an optical drive.  This allows me to use some older CD storage quickly and economically.   It is not loud.

Plug and play... Works well and at a good price.  Nice addition as most computers no longer come with CD/DVD drives.  Convenient way to rescue old photos and music.

Worth it!

I finally upgraded my 2007 laptop but the newer laptops do not come with an optical drive. I have a couple of older software programs that I use a lot so I used this portable drive to install these programs (two from CD and one from DVD) onto the new computer.

Windows 11 recognized it. 
Was able to install my NASCAR Racing 2003 Season SIM racing game without any negative issues.

Nice product. Solid. Quality is above what I expected for the price, and I was pleased that it worked with an older PC game.

External CD/DVD Player-Recorder.

This portable device is lightweight and sleek. I was able to setup and use easily. Don't look or feel cheap and comes a USB 3.0 type -C. Also includes the necessary micro cable. I will use it with my windows laptop that came without an internal dvd drive. It plays smoothly and will play both DVD's and recorded audio cd's. Works with windows, Mac, and Linux.

It works great. It's a light and compact. I love how fast it runs. I wasn't sure about it. My plan was to use it then return it. I didn't think it was going to work as good as it does. I kept it!!

It's decent works but you'll need to download a dvd player app on a laptop and it won't play movies that are even a tiny bit damaged or anything, also every time you plug it in it takes you to the App Store even if you have the dvd app already. You also have to click several things it will not play straight away but other than that it works but I wouldn't get it for everyday use

It's decent but….

Upon arrival this item would not turn on bc the case was not connecting to the device. The connection was bent and my son had to work on it to get it to come on. Not expecting this item to last too long since it wasn't made correctly in the first place. Seems like they'd at least test it to make sure it comes on before sending it out the door.

I thought I'd be able to watch DVDs on it but cannot, and that's my mistake for not knowing/researching the product.  However, the box and manual had several typos making it all appear suspicious.
