Whether it's reaching that high rooftop luggage carrier, lifting a kayak to your roof rack, getting to those hard to get to places under the hood, reaching a toolbox inside your truck bed, or any number of additional applications, the Adjustable Tire Step from Extreme Max Products is just what you need to give yourself leverage and additional height around your vehicle. Holding up to 350 lbs., the tire step saddles your vehicle's tire while the simple design uses gravity to hold it in place; there are no straps needed, making it quick to set up and take down. A pushpin size adjustment allows the tire step to fit a variety of tires, accepting widths from 8.5" to 10.25". A second adjustment alters the height on the stepping platform once attached to the tire to optimize the height you need, locking into positions 5", 8.25" or 11.5" below the top of the saddled frame. When the job is done, the step folds flat for easy storage.Note: Use caution during initial tire fit. If the tire step rests against the vehicle rim and cannot be adjusted otherwise, you may wish to place a cushion or pad between the rim and the step to prevent any possible scratching.

It wasn't very expensive so there were a lot more that were more expensive so I didn't expect too much. If it doesn't fit your tire just take out the holding pins adjust and you never have to reset  it again. If you forget and leave it on the tire and drive off I have done it twice it just falls to the ground. Fold up nice. At first stepping up on it you sort of think is this going to hold my big butt but it does. 180 lbs and go up and down like they are steps.

But I'll actually be using it to support a diesel heater for cold weather truck camping.  I easily modified it by drilling several holes to attach the heater to it and to route the exhaust pipe.  It's an elegant solution to getting the diesel heater up off the cold, wet ground.  And I appreciate that it folds up flat when not in use for easy storage.

This would not fit my truck with 16-inch tires or my truck with 15-inch tires. I don't believe that this fits anything that has tires larger than 14-inchs
