Our Student Scissors are larger than our Kids Scissors but smaller than adult scissors, perfect for those older children who are somewhere in the middle. But even though they are sized for growing hands, these scissors have all the features needed to deliver adult cutting performance. The age recommendation on the packaging says it's for ages 12 and over but these actually fit perfectly for my children who are eight years old. I love these because I can use them as well, they fit perfectly in an adult hand, so the whole family can use these. I like the size of them because they are not very large and they don't get in the way while cutting. These are fantastic scissors and we are very happy with them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say these Fiskars Scissors are such a great idea. Growing up I remember using kid scissors in middle school. My fingers would hurt bad because they were too small. I basically stuck the tip of my middle finger and thumb in the holes and tried to be quick with projects.

These scissors are a great size. Not big like our normal scissors, but not small like children scissors either. Just perfect, these would even be perfect for those who have small hands. Where the children's scissors might be too tiny but adult scissors may be too big causing your little hands to hurt. I know I personally have that issue. I am definitely going to snag me a couple pair for different projects around the house and some for my teen child. She just turned 13 and really likes them as well. Great fit, and get the job done. Very pleased with the design, nicely thought out and executed. Overall we definitely recommend.

Where were these when I was a teen?..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good scissors! They are perfect for growing hands. They are sharp and pointy so they are definitely not for little kiddos but 10+ I would say. They cut well and our son likes the color and he is saying that they are easy to control. We are happy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Friskars student scissors are excellent for scrapbooking. They are so sharp they will slide thru paper. They are also sharp enough to slice a finger so be careful. My daughter and I love these scissors so much, we argue a bit when we scrapbook together. I love how they fit and feel in my hand. I feel like they will last forever and they stay so sharp after so many uses. They are very comfortable and I highly recommend for any projects.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my youngest son. He had late motorist movement when he was 6 yo. He barely did his shirt buttons up. This scissors is very ergonomic on his hands. Not hurting his fingers. Grips well. He loves it.

The Handel is comfortable and they are easy to hold. They arnt very heavy perfect for all kinds of uses. I recommend trying these Fiskars Student Scissors.

This is the perfect size for his 8 year old hands.  The cutting is smooth and they do a great job.  I even find myself grabbing these to use rather than my own.  Would definitely recommend these as an in between size for bigger kids.

I love that they aren't too tight making them tough to open and close. They move smoothly allowing easy cutting for little hands.
