Unlike brushing and combing, deShedding is done to remove the loose, dead undercoat from the pet without cutting or damaging the topcoat.* Undercoat deshedding reduces the shed hair in all pets and also can help reduce hairball formation in cats.

Was reluctant about the price, but it was cheaper than the hair cleanup. Although this unit is a bit pricy, it is absolutely amazing how much hair it removes and both our dogs enjoy it. After a good brush, it looks like we had a snow storm lol. Only downside I could make is that the handle cover is not secured very well and can slip off with continued brushing. Might have to look at Gorilla Glue for a fix. Other than that, a really great product.

Let the snow fly in the summer!

FURminator Undercoat deShedding Tool Large Dog with Long Hair ergonomic deShedding tool with curved edge, FURejector button and stainless teeth that reach through long topcoat to remove loose undercoat hair. Shown on plain white background; often used for home grooming and removing loose hair from pet bedding.
