I recently got the Faber-Castell Creative Studio 36 Oil Pastels set, and I'm really impressed with the quality. The pastels are smooth, creamy, and easy to blend, which makes shading and layering colors super fun. The pigment is strong and bright, so the colors show up well even on darker paper.

The range of shades is excellent — you get everything from warm yellows and oranges to deep blues and greens. The sticks are sturdy and don't break easily, and the packaging is well organized, keeping everything neat and easy to access.

Lots of easy to blend colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Faber-Castell Oil Pastels Set of 36 as a complimentary sample through Influenster, and it has been such a great addition to my 4-year-old daughter's daily art time. Even though we didn't purchase it, I'm genuinely impressed with the quality and how well it works for young kids.

The first thing I noticed is how smooth and creamy the pastels feel. The colors go onto the paper effortlessly, even with light pressure, which is perfect for little hands. My daughter loves how bright and vibrant the shades are — the set includes a lovely variety of colors that allow her to draw everything from rainbows and animals to her favorite characters. The 36-color range is big enough to feel exciting but not too overwhelming for a younger child.

One of the best parts is how durable the pastels are. Many oil pastels tend to break easily, especially when used by small kids, but these have held up really well with daily use. They don't crumble, and they keep their shape even when my daughter presses a bit harder than she should.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The oil pastel was just ok for kids starts to learn to how use oil pastel but this product is not fit for the kids who are professionally drawing. The oil pastels are kind of dry and crumble when my daughter pressed down to apply. It wasnt wet enough and smooth enough. It left chunky streaks.
The range of colors are good and variety and the price is affordable. I expected the quality could have been better.

It is okay for beginners

Saw these pastels and thought they'd be fun to try...these oil pastels really came out more like soft crayons, difficult to blend.  Shouldn't have expected more I guess for an inexpensive little set.
