It is a great product. Unfortunately I couldn't get my chickens to drink from it. They were used to drinking from a trough.

I was lucky that my girls took to this quickly. i am thrilled to no longer have to do the fill and flip. Being able to fill from the top is wonderful. Have not needed the heater yet.

This  poultry drinker works great water stays fresh and clean

This closed in watering system is such a time saver. No more fishing out the hay in the water bowel. It took about 5 min to show our chicken how to use it. You will have to teach one or two chicks how to use it by placing there beak up to the nipple the gently pushing. Once a couple chickens know they will all learn quickly. We live where the temperatures drop to -21 and this water did not freeze! I was super impressed. The cord is not detachable for the summer months. However for this being the lowest price by far its not a big deal for me.

Clean chicken water everyday!

We did have power go out for one night, and it was able to thaw the frozen water back to drinkable for our birds. We have a very small flock (currently 2 hens) so this two gallon bucket is great for us. It came already assembled and ready for use.

Keeps water from freezing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to try this heated chicken waterer. It's perfect timing to use in our chicken coop now that the weather has gotten cold. Their old waterer has frozen a few times already. The heated waterer works perfectly. The water hasn't frozen since we started using it. I was worried if it could freeze around the dispensers, but the water stays warm enough that's not a problem. Set up is so easy, we just ran an outdoor extension cord to it. The size is 2 gallons, so I think we will buy another one so we can fill it every other day. We have 15 chickens so they almost go through the 2 gallons each day. I like that there is a lid for it to keep the water clean. The only issue I see is that the lid just sits on top of the bucket, and we live in a windy area. So we put a block of wood on the lid so it doesn't blow off in the wind. Other than that this waterer is fantastic! I highly recommend if you have chickens and cold winters!
