As a former Ninja Creami lover, I was skeptical that I could love the FastFreeze Ice Cream Maker more but I've been pleasantly surprised.  The price difference is amazing … perfect for those who were interested in the Creami but couldn't afford it. The equipment is much smaller and can be stored in a kitchen drawer. The FastFreeze is much quieter and doesn't take as long to spin. Some people may complain about the smaller container size but personally that's a key feature for me. Better portion control and I don't have to refreeze and respin the container a second time because of leftovers from the larger container.

The FastFreeze Ice Cream maker is amazing. It is very easy to use and convenient. When freezing your base, the container takes up very little freezer room. The whole appliance is easy to store. Included recipes are amazing, even when swapping out for lactose free ingredients. Like other competitor products, you have to prepare your base in advance and freeze for 24 hours before mixing, but again, this does not take up much room.

Works just as described

Best ice cream machine ever. Easy to use. Easy to clean. Makes smooth ice cream and smoothies. It's so much faster than the bigger machines and great for drawer storage.

love this bad boy! I'd love it more (as in that last star to make this a 5* review) if I could get my hands on additional dessert cups as a set of three that I could purchase separately!

Favorite blending machine for ice creamy texture!

I considered a Ninja Creami, but the couldn't justify the expense. This works good for what I use it for (protein ice cream, frozen fruit, frozen yogurt). We have limited kitchen storage, so this is easy to put away after each use without taking up counter space. I like the serving size, as it makes just enough. The only drawback is cleaning: The spring is quite strong, making it difficult to keep the blades extended for rinsing/cleaning. Fortunately, I work for a plastics fabricator and made a device to push the blades out making it a bit easier to clean. Overall, I would recommend this.

Works very well

The recipes are easy to follow and the machine is easy to use. The ice cream is ready to be made after sitting in the freezer for a day. The machine takes a minute to set up and a minute to soften your mix. Cleaning is the only thing that isn't easy. It's a bit of a pain to push down on the cylinder to pop out the blade for cleaning. You need to be thorough, otherwise bacteria will grow.

Easy ice cream

I have tried several recipes and they all come out with ice crystals. However, the main drawback for this appliance is how hard it is to clean the blade. I wish it was detachable somehow. There's also grease seeping frequently on the other end of the blade. 

It's fun to use, but needs refining.

Promising, but has a learning curve

Save your money. This FastFreeze Ice Cream Maker is neither fast nor an ice cream maker. All it does is chop the frozen ingredients. I could - and have - used my stick blender to achieve the same results.
The cups are a nuisance to store.  
(This is the first and only Cuisinart product I have not liked.)

FastFreeze Ice Cream Maker

There are significant hygiene problems with this ice cream maker that potential buyers should understand. I'm not a germophobe at all- but standard cleaning with soap and water is insufficient for this machine. Proper sanitation requires complete disassembly using a T12 Torx bit screwdriver and specialty pliers to release the collar lock mechanism and remove the spring assembly. This process takes approximately 10 minutes each time, is impractical for regular use, and requires two specialty tools that almost nobody will have. The critical issue is that dairy products penetrate areas that cannot be accessed during normal cleaning. The blade housing design prevents thorough cleaning, creating dead spaces where organic matter accumulates. The gasket seal is inadequate - it fails to prevent dairy from entering internal mechanisms where it becomes trapped. Dairy residue in inaccessible areas creates ideal conditions for pathogenic bacteria. Within days of use, persistent odors develop that cannot be eliminated through surface cleaning. This indicates bacterial colonization in areas that remain contaminated despite cleaning efforts.
The food contact surfaces that cannot be properly sanitized pose legitimate food safety risks— things like Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria can proliferate in dairy environments. This is fundamentally a design failure. Food processing equipment should allow complete access to all surfaces that contact ingredients. The FastFreeze's internal architecture makes thorough decontamination practically impossible for typical users.

I cannot recommend this product due to these hygiene limitations. Food safety equipment should not require specialized tools and extensive disassembly for basic sanitation. There are alternative ice cream makers with accessible designs that allow proper cleaning protocols.
For anyone prioritizing food safety - which should be everyone - choose equipment that can be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each use.
