Bought this to replace a Store-Brand shredder that barely lasted 2 years (used very infrequently). This one seems to be much more well made. The paper goes in smoothly, no jams. Love the added wheels, very handy. Glad my personal info will be safely shredded.

Easy to assemble, performs well, good capacity. The only problem I have at this point is when I empty the trash. Since it contains a lot, you have to think about emptying it before it is at full capacity, if you want it to remain clean.

Advantageous product for residential use

The packaging of the product is very safe. The assembly is also very simple. The use is simple and the result of the cut is great!

Reliable use

We bought this to replace a small shredder that had failed after a few years of use. This one is quiet, good quality, durable and for a lot less than we paid for the one that broke!

Excellent Quality at a Great Price

An inexpensive, highly functional paper shredder. Well suited for home and home office use. The compact design easily sits under a desk and does not produce the unbearable noise my previous shredder did (different brand). Incredible capacity too.

Works well!

I bought the Fellowes Shredder 1200C to replace a previous shredder I had. This shredder is great! It has good capacity and is quiet when it runs. I used it as soon as I got home as I had a lot of paper to shred. It did not jam like my other one. I would recommend this shredder for home or office.

Great Personal Shredder

Bought this for my office as part of a document cleanup. We had it running 3 days straight - shredding hundreds of documents, many with staples and paper clips. Worked flawlessly without any jamming or overheating (it's great that it has overheating protection if you over do it). I have used other shredders and they all inevitably jam or burn out. Highly recommend perioding oiling as per instructions. This keeps it running smoothly and keeps it fast. Specs say 12 pages but it is actually faster to do 6-8 at a time because full 12 slows it down a lot whereas using fewer keeps it at full speed.

Best Shredder for the Money

Bought this unit to replace another brand. At first use, we were surprised at how quiet is is. It also seems to be very powerful. It feeds well and we like how easy it is to empty. The wheels are included and I guess are a nice touch. Appears to be built very well.

Surprisingly quiet

First of all, I love the sheet capacity and the fact that I do not have to empty it as often as other shredders. Great warranty and appears to have a sturdy construction time will tell how this will hold up. But, for now I am pleasantly satisfied with my purchase.

Great purchase at a great price

It stated this shredder is a cross-cut but it really isn't. It's okay.

It's Okay

I use the machine primarily for file destruction of 10 year old files. I do this at the beginning of each new year. Other than that, I have used this shredder only infrequently (the equivalent of normal residential use) during the remainder of each year. I bought the machine a little over two years ago, using it in January 2021 and January 2022 to destroy files dated 2010 and 2011 - not more than 3 banker boxes worth of files for each year. Paper jamming was infrequent but nevertheless always inconvenient as the machine does not readily clear jams in reverse and usually would require some manual effort. The real problem is that the gears have just begun making a grinding noise and the machine is no longer shredding. This just occurred today as I began shredding my 2012 files. It is noteworthy that, in an effort to avoid the inconvenience of jamming, I always fed less than the 12 sheets of paper the machine is rated for. So, as this machine was not ill used and certainly not over-worked, it should have lasted longer than it has. I had a comparably priced competitor model before this one and it had lasted at least 10 years performing the same tasks.

Not durable
