I am very happy with this product. Shreds quickly, my old one died so I had to get a new one. The shredder will shut off when the bottom is full and immediately start up when emptied. The only problem I had was when I tried to register the product the Fellowes website would not accept the CRC number that was taken directly off the top of the shredder.

good product

I am very satisfied with my purchase. Given the price, I had a can for fear of having chosen something low in the game. No, she's really good. Shreds pins and credit cards without problem. I think it is a very good quality/price purchase. No need to pay $200. Yes, it's a little noisy, but for me, that's a detail.

Better than I imagined

I JUST GOT THIS NEW SHREDDER, AND I GIVE IT A VERY GOOD WORK OUT, RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. IT SAID IT COULD DO 6 PAGES, AND SOME OF THE THINGS WERE PRETTY THICK, NOT SURE IT WAS AS THICK AS 6 SHEETS AND IT SLOWED DOWN A BIT BUT NEVER OVERHEATED ONCE ON ME, BUT THAT WAS THE PROBLEM WITH THE OLD ONE WAS OVERHEATING AND JAMMING EVERY TIME I TRIED TO USE IT. SO THAT IS WHY I GOT THE NEW ONE. THE OLD ONE WAS QUITE OLD ABOUT 6 YRS. WOEN OUT FROM USE. BUT AS THE NEW FELLOWES SHREDDER IS JUST GREAT, SO FAR SO GOOD. I'M VERY HAPPY WITH IT'S ABILITY TO DO EVERYTHING I HAD TO USE IT FOR.

I've had a few shredders before and by far this one has to be the most efficient, especially coming with its own bin with a small window to see how much paper there actually is, I've had this for awhile now and it works wonders. I would definitely recommend this product for home use!

Overall a great product

Owned a Fellowes Shredder for 12 years and was very happy with it. It finally gave up the other day after a major shredding project. Felt if that model could last 12 years, wanted to buy another one. Really like the quiet, power, window and cross cut of this one.

Office Shredder

this product works well for shredding our documents that we don't want to put in the trash. I especially like it's quiet operation. I also like that I can shred papers & not need to worry about removing staples. this makes the shredding process a lot faster

Glad I Purchased This Product

inexpensive shredder that performs as advertised - perfect for the average home user with minimal shredding loads

struggles a bit under heavy loads so i keep it to 2 sheets max ... this is not for heavy use but works well for smaller loads

Does the job well

I have mixed feelings about this shredder, however, leaning more toward good. The shredder is well constructed plastic and quieter than most. It is also light weight which allows for easier removal of the top to empty the bin. On the less than enthusiastic side, I would like to see a larger bin (had to empty 8 times yesterday). The shredder struggled to shred 3 pieces of regular computer printer paper (20 lb weight I believe). Within 10 minutes the machine jammed twice. Issue determined to be inserting the paper in at an angle creating bunching in the end of the machine. Noticed the cross cut was frequently creating a length of 6 to 8 inches in length (outside the parameters given by Fellowes). Liked that the shredder shut down before overheating the motor. Overall a good product for the price.

Pay attention to credit cards and don’t put in as many sheets as recommended. We're going to go for a drink.

I recommend it with a flat

brand new out of box and the shredder switch only allows it to go in reverse.
the forward direction does not work. speaks to the poor build quality and is going back to Wal-Mart tomorrow.
