I have definitely put these tires through the paces the last several months. Dry, wet, high speed (158 mph max), drag racing, track days. I've done it all to these tires. I have to say that I have never in my life had tires that performed this well. I know Subaru asymmetrical AWD helps a lot with traction but I have yet to find the limit of these tires. On the track or off the track, wet or dry, they stick to the pavement like glue. You hear the saying "you get what you pay for" all the time which concerned me at first as these were the cheapest decent tires I could find. They more than exceeded my expectations as I went with them over Potenza S-04's and Contisport Contact's to save money. I highly recommend these tires to anyone who wants a affordable performance tire. No indication of tread wear performance yet. They seem to be wearing great though.

Best Performance Tires Ever

Like others have said these tires are awesome. They are on my Redline that I push hard and they just stick. They give you confidence to do what you shouldn't and bail you out. I'm a snob about tires and am never happy with a tire overall except for this one. Now if the engineers will just leave it alone for years to come I won't have to go searching for a new/better one. This is the best one.

Best tire ever

You can not knock the firestone firehawks. They out perform any tires I've owned so far. The dry traction and coring is unbelievable for such a inexpensive summer tire. Handles grateful In wet conditions to. The tread wear seems great, just track driving and spirited drives.

Amazing tires!

I put these on my crown vic ( interceptor modified) for a 25 mile daily commute . Absolutely outstanding handling, wet traction is suburb, and launching on dry pavement superb. The quality delivered is closer to tires twice the price. They aren't as quiet as duelers or a turanza, but they ride good with very low resistance. Couldn't be more satisfied .

Exceeded every expectation

These are probably the best dedicated Summer tires that I've driven on. They easily outperform most other tires in their class and probably compare better to some other well known brands costing twice as much. They've certainly helped make my daily commute much more interesting. They also inspire a lot of confidence when pushing the limits. So much so that I must consciously alter my driving habits when the Summer season ends and I must switch to Winter tires. Then I'm counting the months until I can put the Indy 500s on again.

Terrific Summer Tires

Still very surprised with the tire. I always go for the "cool looking" tire and this one actually performs as good as it looks. I live in an area where we get a good mix of all weather, exceeding expectations every time I rip a turn or launch off the line to beat the merge lane enemy. Quiet, sharp, stout and a very clean feeling tire.

My new Mustang GT is my daily driver. Recently when my track car (I am a high speed driving instructor with Porsche club and others) was out of commission I reluctantly tracked the Mustang. I thought the tires have been a very good street tire and was very impressed with their high speed on track predictability and traction, even during some wet track conditions. I will buy these tires again and put them on my other cars too.

surprised with on track performance!

Just put these on my 2017 Procharged / Supercharged Chevy Camaro SS. Replacing the Good Year eagle F1's. The eagle F1's were like ice skates supercharged. Man, these grip even being supercharged 720 hp. Wow what a difference and they ride smooth and quiet also.﻿ The price cant be beat for such a great tire. The reviews on this tire are thru the roof and now I see why. I'm very pleased I bought a set of 4. Hopefully I will get more then 10,000 miles out of them time will tell. Only gripe the speed rating. But, really it's not an issue. Who is going to drive that fast anyway.

These tires grip extremely well.

After running Firehawk Wide-Oval Indy 500s I knew I was going to buy a new set of Indy Tires because I had been relying on these and had come to know their characteristics! When I began to research the options for my new tires I was introduced to the Indy 500 with pulse groove design. All reviews were five Star across the board. I bought a set and I'm here to tell you " I could tell I liked them as I backed off the Four post lift " within the drive home I tested their grip. If you are familiar with traction control on a C5 you Know that hard acceleration with control on and tire slip makes it a on off on off situation as the tires slip and control takes over and then the process repeats, so most of the time with the Wide Ovals, I had to turn control off and contend with wheel spin by feathering throttle. Not the case with new Indy 500s! I can leave traction control on, mash the throttle and never spin the tires enough o activate the computer trying to keep me from having fun. This alone told me how well I could expect the tires to bite during the twisting turns. These tires truly are exceptional on my car as it is set up, it's like I have a new car. Handles great in the rain! I wish everyone could experience these tires on their car, compared to what they had. No doubt they are impressive on a car capable of utilizing the tires capability. Love Them!

Street Standard That Sets The Bar HIGH

After an initial test drive on a set of Firehawk Indy 500's, these perform very similarly to Michelin Pilot Supersport tires at less than 75% of the price. A great balance of comfort, low noise, sharpness, good traction, and bump absorption. I'm eager to flog these tires a bit more and compare wet weather performance, wear, noise, and MPG over the long run. size: 245/40/18 on 18x8.5" wheels

Great initial impressions, comparable to Michelin Pilot

Less then 5k miles in them, normal driving conditions. Wires began showing. Called to try to resolve the problem, was told it was because my alignment is off but my vehicle was aligned when the tires were mounted. Not the first time I have had problems with this brand. SAVE YOUR MOMEY! They're warranty is very obscure and says they will replace tires within reason but then goes on to say every possible reason is not covered.

Do not buy these tires!
