I have a huge bush at my moms place that has gotten out of control. My moms sheers wouldn't cut it last year and these had sold out. I made sure to get them once I saw them this year. They worked great to cut and shape it. Now I just need to let it settle and finish it off.

unfortunately  because "they are so sturdy"  I am unable to use them to their full potential. I did not recognize their weight a head of time so am unable to 
hardly  handle them let alone use them.......you see I weigh 105%23 and 91yrs old

I'm short, and had a long row of holly that needed “boxing”. I have used Fiskars pruners, tried many others %26 always returned to Fiskars.  These hedge shears were excellent for extending my reach by nearly 2 ft. , and light enough in weight thad my arms didn't tire until the very last  bush, and itwas well over 90 degrees with a triple digit heat index!   They are very versatile—- holding them in all directions for the very best “haircut”.  The only thing about them that concerns me, is that at the end of 25-30 feet of solid trimming, the didn't feel as sharp as at the beginning.  I don't know yet how they may “sharpen”, but as of this moment (after a2 day recoup time!),  I can give them an”A” recommendation!

Holly Hedges

These have been wonderful. I was previously using little pruning clippers to cut the massive bushes in front of my house. It took me forever and the bushes were getting out of control. So happy with my investment in these - All of my Fiskars products have been reliable, sturdy, and efficient, and these are no exception. It was also much easier to shape the bushes into balls with these (until the other half trimmed them ONCE and made them look like boxy hack jobs... We all have our own talents, I suppose). Looking forward to shaping them up again soon with these shears!

Sturdy and Dependable

These things are awesome. They are sharp, and do great with helping me trim the hedges. They gave a good weight to them, and I'm very glad I got them.

Works wonderfully!

These were on clearance and I needed a new pair, so what the hay.  They seem to work well.  You forget how good they are when you first get them-nice sharp blades and they cut nice.  They also have a plastic case with a snap that make them easy to store.  They sit in a humid garage all summer and this will help protect them from the elements.  $9 good purchase!

Great product. Retains sharpness and is easy to use

Soft grip handles are comfortable and do not slip when wet. Fiskar blades are very sharp. I love these shears! So far I have cut branches from my hedges about a half-inch to a three-quarter inch thick. Can't beat a lifetime warranty!

Great Pruners

The Fiskars Power Level Hedge Shears work exactly as I had hoped. My trimming is light duty and it will work out just fine. I used it last weekend and it was comfortable and light. I would certainly recommend this for normal light duty home trimming.

Lightweight, but sturdy.

I bought these shears  to be ready to trim bushes because they were highly recommended by Bob Vila (This Old House). I can see they are well-made, that the blades are sharp, but they are MUCH heavier than I anticipated. Because the blades are sharper than some cheaper models, they add to the weight. Be prepared for very long handles as well. Women have shorter arms and less upper body strength than a man, so the shears would probably be fine for a tall guy.  I evaluated these shears in comparison to others, thinking the features would be an asset. I was wrong. Not sure if its worth the trouble to return.

Quality Adds Weight

Not very durable. Will not cut thicker branches from bushes. Made for light and thin trimming.
