Can handle smaller branches effectively, but may struggle with larger diameters.

The problem, beautiful bushes and shrubs not getting enough sunlight. The solution; fiskars extendible tree pruner to chop off some branches of the massive tree that's blocking light to my plants. How easy was it? Shockingly! The handle was easy to grasp due to an innovative design and the blade was ridiculously sharp so it cut though my thick old tree with such ease that it startled me and I dropped the ginormous pruners fully extended…whoops. So word of advice, don't use if anyone is in the vicinity or path as this bad boy will take down your tree lickety split.  Now if only fiskars could invent a tool that would clean up the mess I made using this, pack it in lawn and leaf bags and then take it to the curb I'd be even more thrilled!

This product works great for what I need. We have to trim the coconut palms in our yards, and I did not want to climb the ladder to reach the branches and coconuts. Once I got the hang of using this tool, it cuts the coconuts and dead branches pretty easily. It is definitely a good quality tool.

Tree trimming

this was a birthday present for my husband who loves being outside Landscaping trimming mowing the whole nine yards. and he was extremely satisfied to have this helpful tool. actually multi-tool it works perfectly for everything he needs, gives him that many more feet of height

This is a great tool for addressing out of reach limbs. With the 2 ways to cut, I was able to remove half of a tree. The extension handle has a user-friendly mechanism and a lock that I was bleto use wih one hand. First I used the lopper to remove a dead branch. Just hook it and pull the rope. With ease it sliced through. Then a huge limb cracked, and due to the size I needed the saw (you have to install the blade, but the hardwre was provided and it was quick). This also worked well working back and forth it was down in no time. If you are working with your arms over your head, you need  a simple to use high-quality tool that can get the job done. Definitely recommend.

used to prune 2 trees and it did not go well. The saw blade is incredibly thin and surprisingly dull even on first use. Going through a 3" branch took forever and the blade bound several times. By the 3rd branch the blade had a small bend in it from binding so much. I cut one 5" branch and it took me a good 20 minutes - it was exhausting. I have been using pole saws for 30 years and have never had this type of problem with a brand new blade. This felt worse than my 5 year old Corona pruner with hundreds of uses.
The pruning part works ok, but only if the branches are under 1 inch. Anything larger and the cord will bend the plastic pulley and get jammed. The cord is starting to look a little frayed from wearing in the pulleys. The only good part of the pole saw is the very light extendable pole. I don't think I will try to bend the blade back into shape, I may try to just buy a different blade that is sharper.

For something that is almost 60 dollars I figured it wouldn't fall apart the first time I used it. The saw bent in half on the second branch and the pulley system gets stuck continuously And comes untied often. Definitely don't just grab this one thinking it would be good enough. Cause it definitely isn't worth the money.

Don't waste your money

It was pretty good at cutting small limbs, but the comfort of the string was hard to pull down. also the saw kept getting hung up in the middle of the branch after sawing through it.
