I WAS SURPRISED THAT WALMART CARRIED THESE BLADES. I TRIED TO FIND THEM AT STAPLES WITH NO LUCK. LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND THEM FOR A LOT MORE THAN I PURCHASED THEM FOR AT WALMART...AND.. LESS THAN $1.00 FOR FEDEX DELIVERY..
OH...ALSO LOOKED AT OFFICE MAX WITH NO LUCK..
THESE ARE FOR A ROTARY BLADE PAPER CUTTER... YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD BE A COMMON ITEM.

I love to sew. I love to quilt. I love working with fabrics to make this and that. I am also cheap. I hate needing to purchase the expensive Fiskars Rotary Cutting Blades. So I use my blades over and over again, sanding them to retain a sharp edge. But, eventually, even my frugalness pales in the light of sanity.

I needed the amount I purchased to be sent via UPS with free shipping to be a certain price. The small package of Fiskars Rotary Cutting Blades tipped the scale so I wouldn't have to pay shipping charges. So, I took to reviewing ALL the sewing items listed at Walmart. Was I ever impressed with the vast listing of items available, including even long-arm quilters! Finally, I found the listing for the Fiskars Rotary Cutting Tools. I still agonized over the price; but, I weighted the cost of shipping vs. no cost of shipping, if I added this item. Sanity prevailed and so I added the Fiskars Rotary Cutting Tools to what I wanted.

I am embarrassed to say that as soon as I inserted a new blade into my cloth cutting tool, I realized how stupid I had been not to have purchased new blades a long time ago! I'm glad I recognized my own shortcomings and am thrilled my rotary tool now is effortlessly cutting cloth. Just, keep that very sharp edge away from slicing your skin. I have a few "remembrances" of my carelessness. So, on my cutting table, I also have a tube of an Antibiotic Ointment!

So, even though we all like to economize and get the most we can out of grinding a new edge on the blades, there does reach the point where it makes more sense to simply buy new blades!

Very Sharp Cloth-Cutting Tool!

I purchased some rotary blades on ebay.....the blades did not last even a week before I had to replace them....these blades(Fiskars) meet and exceed my expectations for value and performance...I have cut thru 12 layers of fabric using these blades. I would recommend these blades to anyone...

I might buy the sharpener next time but my blades arrived very sharp and did exactly as they should have. I prefer my blades to be super sharp so I don't have to push too hard on the fabric. I could tell after one quilt my blade had started to loose its bite. Having extras on hand is a good thing for sure.

Good for one quilt each

These work great and are a great deal. I was honestly not sure if I was ordering a single blade or five of them because the description indicated 1 but the picture appeared to be a 5 pack.  Its a 5 pack and was a great price.

Great deal

this packet of rotary blades is a bargain. you get 5 blades in the holder, A much better deal then other brands. This blades hold up well, especially on fleece. I use the
Fisker rotary cutter also. Very easy to install the blades on it.

Good price for the total amount

I was so happy to find this set of 45mm rotary cutter blades online at such a great price! Ordered site to store (free shipping!), and less than one week later, I switched to new blades in three of my cutters and still had a couple for next time! Highly recommend this purchase!

great price for a quilting necessity!

This tool is pretty slick. However, I gave it only 4 stars because I can't figure out how to lock it in the down position. Also, the retract button is too easily hit so when I'm cutting fabric the blade pops back up without me wanting that. If someone can tell me how to solve these problems, I'll change my rating to a 5.

A couple of minor problems

Works great...only reason for the 4 stars is that the razor wheel started getting a wobble while I was cutting. Since then I tighten it up from time to time to prevent that again.

Needs tightening at times , but works great!

Mostly cuts good but occasionally “skips” a small bit of the fabric. Also a bit difficult to keep a straight line even against a ruler. The toggle to switch from open to covered is a little difficult.

So disappointed! I was hoping this product would help me cut my materials with ease. But it only cut my fabric once and has not worked since. And the blade locking button would pop when I apply pressure. So that made it a little dangerous too! I wish I could return this item!
