On my 2009 Tacoma this is a replacement for the earilier model that self destructed after 10 years.  But beware the camera requires the original Tacoma mount that was long gone as the earlier POP handlke used their own mount and not factory. Had to make a mount or you have to buy a used camera on eBay to get the mount.

item had a broken part (plastics clip).

OEM gasket did not fit part.

It does work, but I can tell the key mechanism is medium quality and won't last long, so keep your old mechanism to put back in till you buy a replacement after it breaks. Directions say flip one of the bars end to end, but that put the bar in a bind. My Tacoma is a 2007, so maybe some models you don't do that on.

I guess it's ok.
