It worked really well. The only problem I had was the ground was really hard and I couldn't get that stake in. I improvised with zip ties.

Cheap flagpole, but great value. Can't find another 20' pole for this price. I bought one of these a couple years ago for music festivals and camping. Worked good enough for 2 years, sometimes the sections get sticky but I always got them free. The plastic rings do nothing, it just seems to mess up with you "loosen" the sections too much. You have to "tighten" them with some muscle otherwise I rarely have a section collapse. It's not hard, but a child couldn't do it tight enough. At full extension with a flag, I feel like this is good for maybe 20mph wind tops. I've had TWO 3x5' flags going on a breezy day at a music festival, and this stayed up straight. I figured screw it, threw this in my truck bed at ~8' high, put a flag on it, lets see how strong it is. The top bent in half somewhere between 30-40mph lol. Bought another one because it still works perfect while stationary. So yes this has very thin aluminum walls and it can snap, but just be smart with it and you can't beat the price

Great value, but can be fragile

We just got back from a week long trip to Sturgis, SD. We used this flagpole with the hitch flag pole mount for the truck. It's the perfect height and we could see it from really far away which made it easy to find our camper at night in the campground. There were a couple of days where the weather was super windy and we never felt like we needed to take it down, it is really sturdy. It collapses nicely and is short enough to easily store in the trailer or transport in a car truck of average size.

BEST FLAGPOLE EVER

I announce at running road races and triathlons and have had this item of more than 2 years. Event managers are so happy to have the flag they didn't think to arrange for. Many of these events venues are next to open water and lots wind. I've used it well over 100 times and it is still in great condition. Yes it bends in the wind, that's a feature. If it didn't bend it would break, that's how you design things that are light. Same reason airplane wings flex a lot. I have lightweight flags and made sure I didn't buy heavy fabric flags. The lighter the fabric the faster the wind makes it flutter. The flutter offers less resistance. Why is mine in such good condition? I learned long ago that even well meaning people handle stuff too roughly. And nobody cares about treating my gear as I would. I let no one handle this or most of my sound equipment. It's a mindset. Most people don't take good care of their stuff, how can I expect them to do a better job with mine. This item is extremely functional because it has pieces that slide inside each. Bend them and you'll ruin it. If you can't figure that out going in, don't buy it. Your alternatives don't exist, unless you want something so big and so heavy you probably won't use it a second time. I'm writing this today as I buy a 2nd one to keep in the trunk of my other car. I either zip-tie it to fences or poles, or if my vehicle is close I use the optionally purchased tire mount that you just drive your car tire over. It's a flat plate with a vertical section of pipe which screws into the plate. Roll the wheel over the plate and you have your flag up in a minute. I suggest you always use the driver side front wheel or you could drive away without taking down the flag.

This is a Silver Bullet for my needs.

We are very pleased the extended poles were just what we were searching for. 
Not impressed with flag clips seem flimsy, but overall really glad to have them. Hope the clips don't rust easily however have to wait and see.

This flagpole is pretty much perfect, especially for the location I had chosen.  I'm still learning how tightly the segments need to be connected in order to escape collapsing shorter, but most days it's been rock steady at the height chosen.  I'm using it with the moveable ground mount: wonderful!

Great Adjustable height flagpole

I bought five of these flagpoles for my Airstream. The flagpole holder is machined for standard sized flagpoles. But this flagpole has a plastic handle on the end which makes it just thick enough to not fit into the flagpole holder. When I reached back to the seller they said the handles are glued on at the factory. I was able to get them off with a lot of work. I suggest they describe the product better to indicate the handles may keep the flagpole from fitting into a holder. BE SURE TO READ THEY CHARGE A RESTOCKING FEE if you return them!

Good Product, needs better description

I purchased this 20' flagpole for use at the beach. It is sturdy enough although I don't extend it all the way. It is very light and collapses short enough to fit in my beach umbrella flag bag. I rate it 4 stars because of a few minor problems that are easily fixed. The rubber sleeve on the bottom came off and stayed on the hole so I applied glue to it and it should stay on just fine. Also as others have stated the flag holding clips on the top section tend to slip towards the center in a heavy wind which caused the flag to contract like an accordion. That is easily fixed by applying rubber bands to the pole to keep them from slipping. I am very happy with this purchase!

Nice flagpole for the beach!

These poles have been great for tailgating. They can flex quite a bit in high winds (15 mph and up?) which is why I don't extend the second highest section of the pole when flying just one flag. I have found that when it's damp or rainy and the temperature drops, the loosening of the pole sections becomes much harder; one time to the point that I could not retract the second lowest section into the lowest section.

Love the concept of this telescopic flagpole. My wife runs marathons so I wanted something to help her find me in the crowd of spectators. Used it for the 1st time last weekend. Pretty easy to use. Was able to quickly extend and collapse several times during the course of the day. No heavy winds but enough to keep the flag flying. I was pretty happy...until I tried to collapse it for the final time to go home. 2 of the lower sections were completely locked up. Struggled mightily to get them unlocked. When I finally got them unlocked, I saw gouges/scratches in the surface. Seems like whatever the locking mechanism is damaged the surface of the pole. Now, these gouges/scratches are a hang-up point when sliding the section over it. Love the concept of telescopic pole, but the design needs improvement. Hoping it doesn't get worse with next use. Very disappointed!

I was so excited to use this and it worked great…one time. When I tried to put the pole away the locking mechanism was jammed. Return asks for it to be put in original box, but it won't fit in box because it won't fully collapse. I have had similar products that worked great for Years
