So glad I ordered it. The price was great the size was perfect!  I had one prior that was thicker/hardee same size but because it was so brittle it cracked over time. This one is lighter more pliable it won't crack as easy.  I love it . I was skeptical because of some of the reviews so that is why I am writing this one. The reviews really help in this case people were too quick to judge. ..oh as far as flattening it I put some heavy things on it for about 24 hrs...now no problem! Worth the money! !! Looks great!! I

GREAT!   Just what I needed!

I like this mat very much, it lies smooth and is easy to roll my sewing chair over. It arrived quickly and once unrolled lied flat in a couple hours, ready to go.

So many of these available with a few different options, but I felt the description fit what I needed so I ordered it. Yes it works well on thick carpet. It does shift slightly, so plan on putting a desk leg over one corner. Not as good as a solid sheet, I still have to PUSH to move, but much better then having chair legs on carpet. Pets don't like it because they cannot get good traction to jump. Straight rectangle. Was not sure I needed the full size but so glad I got it.

The mat is thinner than its predecessor so I have concerns for longevity. I swapped mats in the evening and overnight it did flatten out so my chair is not catching on the "hills" created by it being rolled into a tube to be inserted in a box for shipping.

Does the job

So, to be fair, when you order something for half the price that every other retailer is selling it, you should expect a dip in quality. Having said that, I ordered the product and due to the shipping container I had a giant bubble of plastic I am currently attempting to flatten back into the floor mat. If it does flatten for you when you get it, then this is a great buy.

A bit of a problem in shipping

I didn't care for these mats, I purchased two. They were rolled up in a box that was beat to death and after three days they still would not lay flat on the floor, which made the fit to the area worse. I took them back. And the return process was not as simple as stated on the email. I ordered both mats together, on the email all they have to do is enter a receipt number - it didn't work. On top of that they had to do two separate returns, not a huge deal, it just took longer when I had other things to be doing.

This purchase was a huge disappointment and an annoyance. Instead of the mats being delivered in a smoothly rolled cylinder, which would have allowed me to unroll them and place on the carpet, they were shipped to me in the worst way possible. They were folded like an accordion and wouldn't lie flat. After several failed attempts to flatten them using weighted boxes, I resulted to placing them atop a very hot surface, which had been in direct sunlight for an extended period of time. The extreme GA summer heat finally forced them to flatten enough to use them, without them being a trip hazard. I would have been better off going to Office Depot and paying a slightly increased price for something that would have been immediately usable.

Unfortunate

Floor mat arrived in a fan-fold configuration in a rectagular box and therefore was no longer a flat shape. I considered returning it but since I needed it immediately, I tried to remove the pronounced wrinkles first with weight, then with heat gun and weight for 2 hours. It has flattened enough that I can use it though it still has small wrinkles that are permanent.

I cannot imagine why this type of product was packaged that way.

When we picked this up at the store I was doubtful it would be useable. The carton it came in was crushed on all sides and ripped open at one corner. Instead of the chair mat being neatly rolled it was bent in a double S shape. Being an optimist we brought it home hoping it would lay flat once opened. Wrong thinking, even with heat and getting it flat it goes back to a roller coaster shape. Perhaps if it was "rolled" for shipping and shipped standing up it might be useable. It is going back to the store for refund. It appeared to have either been used and returned or in stock for a long time.

Don't waste your time on this
