The Floortex Computex Advantagemat Anti-Static Chairmat is a lasting floor protection solution that will work in your home or office. This office chair mat with lip for standard pile carpets protects your carpet from the weight and movement of typical office chairs. This 46" x 60" PVC Chairmat for Carpets also protects against the build-up of static electricity around valuable electronic office equipment. This Floortex Computex Advantagemat Anti-Static Chairmat is made from up to 25 percent of recycled material and is BPA free. This office chair mat will work with any standard carpet with a pile up to about 3/8" thick. The PVC Chairmat for Carpets has a lip so that it can be easily positioned underneath the desk and has a very smooth surface so that the chair will move effortlessly. My old mat got stiff and brittle and started cracking in the middle, making it hard to move the chair around. This one is quite flexible but seems thick enough that it will hold up. I don't know how I might test the anti-static properties, but it is clearly a different type of plastic than my old one. It is slightly less than 48 x 60 but close enough. It arrived in a timely manner and came in a large box coiled long-ways. If you need a good rectangular chair mat, this one will definitely work.

The anti-static properties works great. Unlike the other anti-static Floortex chair mat (with lip) I ordered, this mat was coiled and was easy to install and lays flat. I am still trying to flatten out the the other floor mat that was stuffed in the box s-shaped.

Awesome mat

The mat is a good mat for my purposes, however, the mat came so tightly rolled that it broke when I tried to straighten it out. It was extremely tightly rolled!!

Good, bit mat for an office chair.

Product is good, but shipped in a box that they zigzagged it in. This made it so it took 3 people to get it laid flat and set various items throughout the house on it to get it to flatten out in 4 days. After that, it was ok. But definitely can't use fresh out of the box!

Ok except for shipping

I purchased this product because my computer chair didn't roll on .the carpet.  It works well enough but it has a tendency to creep when the chair rolls on it.  It it was anchored under the legs of a desk or a filing cabinet it would work better.  It does serve the purpose.

I had the mat delivered to my home for 99 cents as it was so large. It arrived in excellent condition and on time. It had to go under my writing and computer desks so needed to be flexible. It is functional, but because of the dimples it makes from the chair it is a little difficult to roll around on. The dimples go away after you move the chair. But a hard mat would have been almost impossible to put where I needed it, so this was best for me in this circumstance.

Functional mat

This product is extremely cheap for how large it is. That is what compelled me to purchase it. However, it was not as advertised and I had to return it.

The problem is, the product description states that it is for use on standard pile carpets of 3/8" or less. I felt comfortable purchasing this product because my carpet is less than 3/8" and would be described as a standard pile. After waiting a week for the mat to flatten out so that I could begin using it, I placed it in my office and as soon as I put my chair onto it, it was apparent that I would need to return it. My standard office chair, even without me sitting on it, was causing the mat to deform under its wheels. When I sat down, it was even worse and I had more trouble moving my chair around on the mat than just on the carpet. So now I am back to using my chair directly on the carpet, and while I'm worried about wear, for the time being it will have to do.

Fair warning: if you do not have very low pile carpet and/or a ridiculously lightweight chair and body, do not purchase this product.

Does not work as advertised

would not flatten out after removing from shipping box . chair will not roll easily , product not rigid enough to support weight without sinking ..

not worth the price

We returned this chair mat because it cracked within the first 90 days. The mat is also too soft. When it first arrived it took a very long time for it to flatten out completely. You'll be disappointed in this item. Check out the new chair we replaced it with: http://www.walmart.com/ip/ES-Robbins-AnchorBar-Professional-Series-Rectangular-Chair-Mat/14928335. It costs more - but it is worth it.
