This chair mat is a great choice for use on 1 inch thick pile carpeting. It stays in place with the aid of small nubs on the underside. I like the clear design so that the carpeting shows through. It is just the right size for placement of a chair at a desk in a home office and has proven to be very durable. It was a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Perfect Chair Mat for Thick Carpet

Very good mat for thick plush carpet. Flexible, but does not seem to indent much like others I have used. Sinks in a little when weight is put on the chair, but flexes right back. Does not develop permanent "puddles" where the chair wheels usually sit.
Time will tell, but so far this is the best chair mat I have found for thick carpet.
(Be advised the edge is straight- it does not have a tapered edge for the wheels to roll off and on. But this has not been a problem for me.)

Good For Plush Carpet

This floor mat is great. Other mats, after you sit down in your chair the mat is pushed down where the chair rollers are and it is difficult to "roll out" of that position. This mat is rigid and my chair rolls easily. Earlier I had purchased a different mat, but quickly took it back to the store where I bought it even though it was advertised for medium pile carpet. This mat costs a little more, but how can you put a price on happiness?

Great

I like this mat, but I have a minor issue of it sliding around. About every other day I have to re-position it. To be fair, this mat is in use 10+ hours a day, with a lot of chair movement. I suppose if the spikes on the bottom of the mat were a bit longer this would not be a problem. I have this mat on medium pile carpeting that is about 15yrs. old.

Best mat I've owned, but there may be better ones

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good price. We used this in our home office over carpet with a shirt to medium pile. It is a little flimsy, but I guess you get what you pay for. This would probably work better on short pile carpet or hardwood floor. For the height of carpet we have, I believe a heavy office mat would work better.

For use on very short pile carpet or no carpet at all.
