It  is a very nice bench. I bought it on sale so I was pleased with my purchase. Worth the money. Didn't like the bottom panel though. Not as sturdy as I would like. Could be replaced with plywood.

Good price. Nice quality bench with useful storage under the seat.  I put it in my laundry room.  Looks great with some throw pillows.  Would buy again!

Great bench

You get what you pay for.  It is a pretty good bench! The only major thing that I was disappointed in was the fact that it scrapes the side when closing the top.  Like other reviewers have said- there is a problem with the alignment of the pre-drilled holes for the screws.  It's nothing that I cannot love with though.  The hinges didn't seem like they would work but after getting them attached they work fine.  I used the included short screws for the hinges and I haven't had any issues so far but I've only been using it for a week.  The cheap bottom panel of the bench that goes inside to hold your items is VERY cheap.  Like thick cardboard material.  Would have been so much better if that was the presses plywood that the rest of this bench is made from.  Otherwise, bench is cute- it serves its purpose.  I don't expect it to last more than a couple years at most but hey- I paid $96 bucks for it.  Cheapest price compared to other sites.  I would probably purchase it again.

Ok bench.  It's about what I expected.

I l love the look tho my son commented that it looked like a church pew.. simple clean lines. It looked nice with the cushion on the entry way. Good quality. The only frustration I had was using the screw driver on the lid hinge with no predrilled hole

pretty bench wouldn't put a ton of weight in it or on it but it's what I was looking for. I'm happy with it.

The storage area is good for guest's pocket books etc., however, I'm not sure how much weight it could hold. It took approx. one hour to assemble. I would say it's more of a decorative piece and not very functional (it's not really comfortable to sit on), however its a good decorative piece and filled in an empty space in my kitchen very nicely. Good piece for the money if you have time to put it together.

Nice bench, not very functional

This bench is beautiful and just what I was looking for. However, some of the holes weren't lined up correctly and I hate to widen them. Also, when screwing in the back of the bench, there were longer screws to use. They wouldn't screw in all the way, no matter what I did. Also, a few of the screws stripped just from tightening them... I didn't overdo it.

Difficult to assemble

This storage bench is nice, but not as solid as I expected. Make sure you read all the specs. The storage area has a 30 pound weight limit and the bench has a 180 pound weight limit (although two people can sit side-by-side comfortably, they might end up on the floor). It was easy to put together, but two of the pre-drilled pilot holes were in the wrong place by about 1/8". The cover was scraping the left side arm when I tried to bring it down, so I had to re-drill new pilot holes. Not a big deal...if you have a drill with the right bit handy.
Overall, it's a nice looking piece, but only appropriate if you are getting it to store somthing light such as blankets, clothes, or wrapping paper.

There a numer of issues just getting assembled:
wrong instructions
screws stripping before any torque is applied
dowel pins falling out of the holes
masking tape on the dowel pins because the holes are too big
the bottom plate is a think sheet that will absolutely warp, sag, and break
the piece identification stickers leave a sticky residue

the only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it looks nice, but I don't expect it to last
