[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked everything about this Folk Art Metallic Finish craft paint. I purchased the pure gold color. It is true to the color advertised. No clumps and has a smooth consistency. Needs two coats to cover completely but that is to be expected. Price was good. I will buy this brand again as it was a joy to work with and clean up was a breeze.

Gold metallic paint

This item surprised me! I needed paint to change the color of my daughter's metal bed frame from metallic grey to a gold finish. I ordered this paint online, and right after ordering it, I said to myself, 'This paint is NOT going to do the job that I need it to do.' I wondered how I could be so naive as to even THINK that a 'craft paint' could do such a job. ...But in my defense, the advertisement stated that its good for indoors and outdoors projects, and I figured that it 'rain and weather' can't ruin it, then perhaps it can change the color of a metal bedframe successfully. I was right! It worked! It did the job! I had to use a sealer to paint over it, so that the paint wouldn't scratch off easily, but that's a step that is necessary when doing most crafts. It worked, and it doesn't seem susceptible to wearing off. Oh, and I did apply two coats, but if I would have stopped at just one coat, it would not have looked bad because for me, 'the second coat' was to take it from 'good' to 'fantastic!'

SURPRISE!

Great product,  with a good price!

As expected, this craft paint provided coverage and a nice sheen. The application is smooth and the paint isn't overly odorous. Multiple coats create a deeper hue.

Arts %26 Crafts, Oh! My!

I purchased this metallic gold to do paint the inside of lampshades (I painted outside black) Applying was easy. Coverage is really good. For beginners I definitely recommend. The color came out great. I was really impressed. Love the new look of my lampshades %26 and how easy %26 well they came out with this product.

I highly recommend FolkArt products…

I wish it had more coverage and less garish color. It's a very bright gold. Requires more than one coat.

I did not use the paint so I cannot comment on quality.it was rather expensive so I would expect it be intact and new. If it was sold to me at a reduced price, then I would not be upset with it being opened already.
