Works beautifully.  As does using a flannel backed tablecloth, but this has a grid that helps me visually line my blocks up.

The Design Wall is so much easier than laying quilting pattern on floor or bed and would keep my cat off my fabric!! However, one of the grommets was missing and I had to return. I plan to buy another.
