I love Food Saver Products. Ive had a Food Saver for over 10 years and it stopped sealing. There was no question which sealing system I should get but Idid research the all. Food Saver was my choice again and I loved all the new features and bonuses that came with it.  I prepare my meats and freeze. I use a marker to indicate the date it was in the freezer. I even bought a Food Saver for my son and daughter-in-law and they love it.

Food Saver Is The Best!

I have been considering buying a Food Saver for quite a while but I wasn't sure it would be worth the money. It's easy to use for the vacuum and seal part but trying to evenly cut the plastic material from the roll that came with it was next to impossible and very time consuming. I found rolls of material online that were in a box with a slide cutter. This isn't the name brand but the material seems to be just as good. If I had to cut the Food Saver bags off the roll every time I would probably throw the whole thing in the trash. Luckily I found the bag material with a cutter. The actual vacuum sealer machine works great so far. Do yourself favor and find rolls of bag material online with a cutter on the box. Then the whole process is much more streamlined.

this is my 3rd sealer I have used the machine constantly. Purchase large packages of meats, cheeses and produce. Break them down into smaller packages and seal them up. I find that if I prefreeze meats and then vacuum seal them I have less of a mess during the sealing process.

NICE BUNDLE

Love it, works better than the older styles with the exception it doesn't have the roll cutter! But my wife likes it so that's all that counts!!

Love it

It was not what I expected and it was not what I was supposed to get.  The web site said I was to get the sealer, extra bags, a roll of bags and a hand sealer.
What I received was the sealer, some loss bags, no roll and no hand sealer.   
The quality of the unit was less than I expected, didn't have storage for a roll and was not adjustable for wet or dry product or fast and slow speed as my old one, and like every thing today very light so it had to be held down to keep from sliding around, it's Okay if you have three hands.

As the truth

This edition of the FoodSaver is not as good as the past. We haven't used it yet, and I think we may return it.

Not a positive change

I have been wanting one for a while now. and after using it for a few times, I seem to be going through more bags because they do not seal properly or the seal brakes I almost feel like it was a waste money and time. I wish I could return the product but I have had it for over a couple of months now.

Not too happy

Maybe I got a bad unit? We were able to seal 2 bags and that was it. Took “gaskets” out and flipped them over and that gave us the 2nd vac, but none after that. Very disappointed. For something that should suck, it did not. Debating on trying again, the foam gaskets seem cheap and useless to me.

It was supposed to suck, in a good way.

I bought this in June  of 2024. It is an absolute piece of JUNK! Bags will not seal unless you hold down on the top. Off brand bags will not work at all. Waste of money, time and effort. Even when using food saver bag you have to cut more than the three inches extra as suggested to get a seal.  I do not recommend this item.

Save your money

I purchased this item 2 days ago and needed to use it today for the first time. It would not seal nor would it vacuum and seal. I tried it several times and wouldn't work. Just a lot of noise. I had a Food Saver back in the 80's and loved it. Was really hoping that the quality was still there. I'll be headed back to Walmart today to return this useless product. How could Food Saver even let these non working machines pass their quality control? Or is there even a quality control check with Food Saver anymore?
