This is a very good value and has several additional features when compared to other models that are similar or slightly less in price.
-We like that we have the option of using larger bags, it can fit 11", compared to the standard 8" bags. 
-This also has an accessory hose to suck air out of different kinds of containers and dry goods. 
-It is possible to stop vacuum function early to prevent moisture of food being sucked out too much or to allow a little breathing room for things like bread or baked goods.
-You can use the sealing option alone and do not need to use the vacuum. This will save on the wear of the vacuum over the lifetime of the item.
-Has a removable drip tray which makes for easy clean up.
-Quietest one we have had so far.
-Small and compact. Easy to leave on a countertop or store in a drawer.

Have owned a vacuum sealer over 25 yrs. Wish I owned this sealer that long. Very easy to use. The locking lid eliminates the need for a lot of physical effort. Pre-cut bags simplify

this machine is easy to set up and get started, also it is easy to use. Price was very reasonable.  this machine is smaller then mos,  it fits nicely on my counter top. this machine also is a very tight vacuum seal and it is quiet.

perfect machine for packaging venison meat

I took the time to empty my freezer and repackage all of my frozen meat, fruits, vegetables and breads.  It is so worth it as recently frozen bagels already had the beginning of freeer ice inside of ziplock bags I had packaged them in.  I repackaged, vacuum packed and labeled everything and it actually takes up less room in my freezer.

I like the size of this sealer. The only thing I do not like about it, you have to cut your own bags with a pair of scissors. It doesn't hold or dispense the film for making bags. I do like that smaller size, but it is a little time consuming to have to make the bags in this manner. I have actually kept my older sealer just to use the ability to measure and cut the bags with it.

New Sealer

I love this. After 17 years my original one finally died.  It's a lifesaver to keep food stored safely. Cheese won't mold. Deli meat freezes and keeps longer. So do bread and rolls.     No freezer burn.

My old FoodSaver died on me after thousands of bags sealed. I replaced it with this new model and I'm sealing bags again! I just sealed 10 pounds of cold cuts for the freezer. It's powerful suction seals the bags faster than the old one. FoodSaver is AWESOME!! TWO THUMBS UP and 10 STARS!!

I have toyed with buying one of these for years. Not sure why I waited so long! This is a must buy if you ever stock up and freeze or store items! So easy to use! I repackaged everything in my upright freezer and gained so much room in the process. I am now waiting on the mason jar sealer so I can repackage my pantry as well. I highly recommend this item!

Why did I wait so long! Awesome product!

I order this to replace my old one, which lasted 13 years before it stopped working. We love the fact we can buy sized packages and breaking them into smaller portions. It really helps save money on meats.

Great valvue

I have used and loved FoodSaver vacuum sealers for over 20 years. This one was the third one I'd purchased, and it was the WORST. The description says it “seals a variety of foods” but fails to point out it does NOT seal wet foods. Most of my vacuum sealing is wet foods, such as produce from my garden that I've blanched. I had to go back and purchase another model that has the “moist” setting, so this purchase was a waste of money.

This model should be discontinued. Don't get it.
