I purchased these to replace some of the older FoodSaver containers which did not have the built in marinate function.
These containers are absolutely OUTSTANDING!
It has both the vacuum and marinate dial on the lid, and are super heavy duty.
Works PERFECTLY with the accessory attachment on my FoodSaver machine, as well as my hand held FoodSaver vacuum and FoodSaver vacuum stand.
A bit on the pricey side, but well worth the money because of its durability and function! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

MOST EXCELLENT VACUUM CONTAINERS!

foodsaver.com

I was impressed by the size and I marinated 2 - 10 ounce top sirloin steaks in 30 minutes and they were very flavorful and tender. Popped the 2 pieces in the dishwasher and they came out Great!

Nice Size and works well!

Exactly what i needed. I make my dogs food each week and hated how many bags i used for daily meals. Now i use the containers and the food stays fresh. I will buy more of these.

Great product, endless uses.

These containers work well initially—great for preserving food and keeping everything fresh. They might even last a year or two without issues. But eventually, they'll explode. Literally. You'd better hope you're only storing dry foods that are easy to vacuum up, because if it's something liquid, it's a mess waiting to happen.

On the plus side, FoodSaver will send you replacements when they fail. But until then, it's like a suspenseful game in the kitchen every time you use them—you never know when it's going to happen. I've had three fail in the last few months alone.

Great concept, questionable durability.

Works great, until they explode

so far so good. seen a lot of reviews stating that this is known to crack, so hopefully it doesn't with me. I'm really trying to remember to lock it to seal unlock it to release it. hopefully that stuff will prevent it, but it's just as good as the one you get with FoodSaver anyways

got it for a good price. happy

The FoodSaver concept of vacuum containers to make food last longer is a great concept, and I have been purchasing the containers for many years. HOWEVER, the containers are notorious for cracking, sometimes even exploding. They are not constructed well-enough to stand the pressure after the air is extracted. Sometimes there are slow air leaks, sometimes the container and the tops of the containers will literally crack when using the food sealer machine to extract the air. Sometimes I will hear an exploding sound in the kitchen. When I go to investigate, I will find a container in pieces. Then periodically I will contact FoodSaver (Jarden), and they will deliver to me free replacement containers. But that is a hassle. Why do I continue to buy this product, and go through the major hassle of contacting them to obtain free replacements? Is because I like the product for the purpose of making food last longer. But it really is a hassle. You would think that in this day and age a company could make a product that would last much longer. I also within the last few months purchased another FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer System, (Model : FM2000-015), -- but it is under-powered and takes significantly much longer to draw-out the air from a container, than previous vacuum sealer systems I have purchased from them. Major hassle. Also, when re-ordering containers or hoses, often those items are not in stock. For all of the reasons above, is why I only give a 2-star rating. Would love to give a 5-star rating review. But Jarden needs to make containers that can weather the pressure and not crack or explode. GC Alexandria, Virginia

FoodSaver by Jarden: Great concept/But Lacking

These DO NOT hold their seal. Very disappointing as I have purchased & used your products for years. At first I thought the problem was with just one container but after numerous tests, I found they all lose their seal overnight.

There's a Problem

I used them once, and washed them once on the top rack of my dishwasher. One of the containers developed spider web cracks on both sides.

Cracks after first use

I bought these when they came out. Virtually everyone single one has literally cracked under pressure except the smallest one. The lid and bottom of the large flatter one broke, the taller thin ones the plastic is spider web cracking on the sides. I have had foodsaver products for 15 plus years and generally love everything, and I am disappointed and surprised these have such good reviews, want to love them, but they aren't quality.

They needed more R&D before releasing these.

I used it a few times over the year and loved it. Then today I was vacuuming marinade and chicken then an explosion went off and I had marinade all over my counters, cabinets, wall, floor, me and my clothing, It took me a minute to understand how can vacuum cause an explosion? Part of the bottom broke loose and caused the sudden release of vacuum and blew the top off. It was huge mess, plus ruined the food, my clothes, and my dinner plans. I have never been so angry at a kitchen appliance and the irony is it's suppose to save you time and money.

FoodSaver my Butt; It cost me money. It Exploded!
