These are extra long to make space for the padding. The padding works great at keeping liquid from escaping the bag when sealing.  Since I purchase packages of meat in bulk, these are great for repacking the meat into smaller portions I can label and date them so that I reduce wasted food..

These liquid blocker bags seal the best. I used to buy in the local Walmart, but they haven't been on the shelves for months. I would ask for them to resume stocking them.

I recently purchased 2 packages of these bags on a whim. 
I was preparing to make my annual 5 - or so gallons of homemade tomato sauce. 
In past years, no matter what I tried, I had the worst luck getting the sauce ready for long term storage in FoodSaver bags. What a complete change this year. The Liquid Block bags were a lifesaver. Worked beautifully. All 24 quarts of sauce sealed and not one got past the Liquid Block seal. Time to order more bags.

Great Product

I love these bags.  I love making soups and stews and then there is my husbands infamous spaghetti sauce, but I do not know how to make small quantities. These bags make it so easy to freeze the extras and take up less room in the freezer. I recommend these bags to anyone that has a good saver

Liquid block bags

First time I have tried this for moister foods.  did a nice job at sealing without losing all the liquid.  Will purchase this again.

Have been using them for years with no problems.  Makes buying meat in large quantities; then freezing in right portions for 2 a breeze.

Just right for us

Perfect for what I needed! getting peaches ready for the freezer and no juice came through during the vacuum process.

You must get it placed carefully in the machine and be sure to let most of the liquid out before you seal it.  The "block" can only take so much. Wish it was a little thicker.

Could be improved

I bought these bags to tryout the liquid block not knowing how they were made.  When I opened the package I was shocked to see that they just attached an absorber strip (aka a paper towel) near the top of the bag.  I have been using folded paper towels in my Foodsaver bags for 20 years to absorb liquid.  I thought everyone new this trick.  Why pay extra to have a paper towel attached to the bag?  After you use the bag once it is useless.  I always wash and reuse my Foodsaver bags or I could not afford to use them.  After 20 years I have never had any problem with contamination or food poison.  Foodsaver wants you to believe that you can't reuse the bags so they can make a pile of money selling bags.  Don't be fooled!
