Used Food Saver products for decades. They expanded products to meet consumer needs - resealable bags %26 devices to do that. For big items %26 longer storage, the original system works great.  Soft items I put in freezer for a couple of hours so when I put muffins, bread, cherries, blueberries, etc.  in bags, it prevents food being smashed on sealing. The bags are a better quality than the knockoffs so I pay a little more for durability. I'll continue to buy them.

These work perfectly with our hand-held vacuum for saving %26 freezing foods. Has worked much better than bags that came with it. For me, I wouldn't recommend for  vegetables. Gasses or enzymes  from those caused bags to inflate/loose vacuum, both stored in fridge crisper %26 freezer.

These bags are great for not only leftovers, but for keeping newly purchased meat and fish fresh for a long time. I find that freezing meats, fish etc. before sealing them in FoodSaver bags, then sealing the food, keeps the foods shape intact. If you don't do this with "squishy" foods the vacuum tends to flatten them. Bags also great for keeping breads fresh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love these bags. I bought the hand held machine 4 years ago and they make a big difference when freezing food. There is only two of us at home so the quart size bags are a perfect fit for us. I use them in the summer for my shredded zucchini and stewed tomatoes. Great bags.

NOT JUST FOR FREEZING FOOD. DOCUMENTS, PHONE ANYTHING YOU WANT TO WATERPROOF. EXTRA PARTS , NOTES FOR TEACHERS. AND FOOD. I PURCHASE ITEMS AND BREAK IT DOWN FOR A MEAL. YOU CAN ALSO BOIL IN THESE. NO MESS. 
LASTS FOR YEARS INSTEAD OF MONTHS.

NOT JUST FOR FOOD.

This works great for the refrigerator.  The only thing is if you put sliced cheese in it, it causes the slices to meld together and are hard to impossible to get apart.  You need to add something in between each slice.  Otherwise it keep everything fresh much longer!

I thought this system would help me keep food safe for a longer period of time.  I found the bags vacuum was hard to get sealed.  Many times the bags just would not seal.  Sometimes after a day they would lose their seal and food spoiled.  Cheese was the best food to seal.  Cauliflower was the worst.

Not worth the money

I like the quart size as I often will set up individual portions of meat for future meals. 
I have a hand held sealer and don't need the larger countertop size vacuum sealers that use rolls of plastic to make into bags.  
I do wrap meats, such as pork chops, in wax paper before placing into the FoodSaver bag to hopefully reduce micro plastics. 
I have noticed of late that some of the bags have not been maintaining the vacuum and ice has developed inside them in the freezer.  I had been putting a piece of freezer tape over the vacuum port, but it's still happening.  I now have been putting a piece of duct tape over the vacuum port (tape piece is larger than the plastic ring that surrounds the port opening), and I'll see over time how that works. 
While you can buy quart bags w/o the ziplock style closure, you need a different vacuum device that can vacuum as well as seal these other types of bags.

Not what I excepted! Once the bags have been done, it looks great.  But after freezing the bags begins to release.
And the bags are very expensive.
I can see a time that I will donate it to good will.
