When the Bean Pot arrived (it was a surprise gift), and before she even opened it, my wife said "I am going to send it back!  I don't need it  The next day, she stated: "Well, I Might just take a look at it."  After looking at the Bean Pot, she immediately set about preparing to bake a batch of baked beans.  After eating the beans, there was no more talk of sending it back.  It now sits in a quite visible spot, where anyone who sees it can say: "Oh!  You have a nice new Bean Pot!"  Needles to say, she is now very much in favor of keeping it.

I was in tears when my dog tipped my Grandmother's heirloom bean pot that she had left to me 35-years ago onto the kitchen floor and irreparable cracked it! But thank goodness I found this particular model! My original bean pot had the classic low-profile handles and could only hold 2-lbs of beans... if that. 

This new bean pot has plenty of fill-space and looped handles, which make it very easy to grasp. It also is a stouter pot, allowing it to fit perfectly in my oven on the rack with adequate room under the burner. 

My bean pot arrived intact and in just 2-days—plenty of time to make my weekend batch of Boston Baked Beans.

My only complaint about this bean pot is the original design of the knob on the lid which too small and makes it awkward to remove the cover from the pot. This is a classic design on all old-fashioned ceramic bean pots but it needs to be updated for safety reasons. Other than this one issue, I highly recommend this authentic styled bean pot.

A perfect pot

This  is a lovely large been pot. Well made, though far larger than I had envisioned. 3.50 quarts is larger than I need, but it's a beautiful pot.

Quality is very good, and just about the perfect size to turn 1 lb. of dry Navy beans into succulent Boston baked beans.

I love my stone bean pot. I use it for pickling cucumber's and it is wonderful.

It is  very nice pot. So far I have used it to make beans.  They came out delicious,  but it took some practice in cooking them on very low heat,  without the lid because otherwise they come out.  The hole is smaller than the diameter of the pot, that makes cleaning the inner curve more challenging, but maybe the shape is better for cooking?  Anyway it is a quality pot for a very competitive price, I would highly recommend it!

Great buy

Ordered this to replace the one we had that got broken. The new one arrived broken and was the color of brown mustard. The seller sent a new one. Also the color of brown mustard. Just an awful color. Gave it to my neighbor. Ordered it from another retailer. Arrived intact and the perfect pretty dark brown color. Think twice…

Very Unhappy Experience

The color of my bean pot was NOT as advertised. Instead of getting the sleek dark pot in the picture I got some ashy looking, disgusting tannish- brown color. I am thoroughly disappointed

My bean pot arrived in many pieces, only one piece of bubble wrap around the box and nothing on the top or bottom.  The lid was in one piece though.
