My 15 y.o Harley had severe diarrhea with incontinence of runny diarrhea all over the place. Tried every kind of sensitive stomach food. Nothing worked. Freshpet for cats stopped diarrhea after 1st meal. Tested again to make life easier buying Hills sensitive stomach. Diarrhea started immediately again. If have GI problems, buy this. Worth the money. I rescue animals and swear by this. I buy a case for $47.00. I freeze it. Keep 2 rolls in frig, each time I cut a roll I put a roll in frig. Let thaw normal in frig . It will not hold water or fall apart. I cut in little chunks. Saves me money. A case of 8 last me about 7 weeks.

I've been buying Petfresh for the past 5 or so years. I try various flavors like beef , Chicken or even Turkey. My two Shih Tzus love it. I want the best for them everytime. Highly recommend it for its healthy ingredients.

I rescued a year old female cat that had just given birth to a litter of kittens. She quickly grew accustomed to wet food and now refuses to eat straight dry cat food lol. I picked up a tube of this 2 weeks ago and she LOVES this! When I am fixing her bowl she is so excited she continuously jumps up at me until I set her bowl down! And her fur is sooo much softer and prettier now!

My cat has had loose stools since I adopted him 7 years ago. Vet visits and stool analyses showed everything normal. I tried a large variety of canned food and kibble with no change. I noticed Freshpet in my local supermarket and bought some. The result was nearly instantaneous; Miles had normal stools the next day and ever since with no litter pan crying, scooting, and no odor. While the cat's general behavior seems slightly improved, I'm thrilled.

A Revelation

My 16yo shih-poo is finicky when it comes to her wet food.  But she eats her Freshpet the minute I put it down (even when meds are in it)!  But the best part, her poops are always firm, that was never a gty before with any other dog foods we tried. Thank you!

What a difference!

My cat is crazy for this food! And I love it because it is MUCH better than the rest. They just need to work on the packaging, hence no perfect score. Way too much door wasted at the corners!

Great Product, Terrible Packaging

My cat ate this fine ... for a while. For about two years, I've been feeding him Freshpet chicken & beef cat food (along with dry food for foraging). He seemed to enjoy it and everything seemed fine. 
But over the course of the past year he's had a number of issues. It started with bouts of excessive vomiting—sometimes multiple times per week. I couldn't trace it to anything and the vet couldn't find anything wrong with him. This continued for several months. Finally, in August of 2025, he suddenly refused to eat in the evening. I took him to the vet the next morning and after a battery of tests over the next few days, the vet still hadn't found anything clearly wrong. So he took some x-rays and told me it looked like there was a mass in his stomach. We did exploratory surgery, only to find that there was no mass there after all. They sent him home with some antibiotics, which seemed to help.
But in the ensuing months, I noticed that he was much more averse to eating his wet food in the mornings and evenings. He would eat a few bites, then come see what I was doing or snuggle or play, then eventually wander back and eat a bit more. If I left the food out for a few hours, it would eventually all get eaten, but he clearly wasn't very excited about it—despite being a VERY food-motivated cat for as long as I've had him. And I didn't like leaving it out that long, since it's not very sanitary and can lead to spoilage.
This year, I decided to get a special little "treat" for my cat for Thanksgiving and bought a small can of turkey-flavor wet food from another brand. He went absolutely WILD over it! I'm now slowly transitioning him to this brand for his main food, and he continues to just gobble it down. I haven't seen him this excited about his food for quite a while now. Plus, his energy and play drive are increasing—I had assumed he was just slowing down due to old age (he's 11 now). 
I'm now convinced that the Freshpet food had led to low-grade GI inflammation. Possibly it wasn't as good a fit for his nutritional needs as I thought, or maybe it was spoiling slightly in the fridge after I opened it. But after multiple bouts of excessive vomiting, flagging energy and play drive, multiple vet visits, over $1500 in vet bills, and at least one sob session followed by weeks of worry and fighting to get my cat to take his meds ... I'm ready to be done with this brand. Thanks but no thanks, Freshpet.

Caused Low-Grade GI Inflammation?

My cats wouldn't touch it.  There's probably nothing really wrong with it - I just have finicky cats.  But they sniffed it and immediately walked away.

My cats don't care for it

I just bought this thinking I was doing my cats a favor by buying something that's better than regular cat food. My cats don't eat a lot of wet food so I was hoping for this to work. Unfortunately NONE of my three cats are eating this. They smelled on it and two even tried it but walked way.Not sure what is in it but they do not like this at all. Really surprising because reviews seem good. Not worth the price for something they don't eat. Maybe have smaller package for people to try before the need to spend that much?
