This bit is an example of outstanding engineering and manufacturing. It can be used to join wood pieces or using it for rails and stiles. I have two cabinets I built to hold my router bits. One was built several years ago and included a door. The second one was built just recently because of my expanded number of bits. I was in the thick of things building for customers and I didn't have a chance to build the door. I just completed the door and I used this bit to make the rails and stiles for the door. It did a GREAT job. Excellent bit for many uses.

Freud

I was making some raised panel doors and have been needing to upgrade my current tongue and groove router bit set. My previous set was a 1/4" shank where this one is 1/2". The difference in shank size made quite a bit of difference in the quality of cut. Using my double router table, I was able to set both bits at the same time and dial them in to the proper cut. That alone save me a considerable amount of time. I am glad I got these. The quality of the bit far surpasses the previous set of bits.

Tongue and Groove bit

I was happy and surprised for how great this bit works. I had to continue and groove for a Hickory bed I was making. I was nervous that it would handle hardwood like this very well. I was shocked at how smooth and clean it worked. No issues whatsoever so ever. I also used it on several coffee tables, again no issues.  Blade was sharp and kept a great edge. In my opinion best tongue and groove on the market

Perfect Tongue and Groove Bit

Got this set a few weeks ago and thought that I'd share my excitement. The quality is unbelievable as you can see by the photos I'm sharing. Setup and adjustments were easy and quick. I'm giving this set a double WOW-Factor for ease/accuracy of setup and additionally very sharp cutters.

WOW-Factor ++

The adjustments to the size of the tongue and groove are simple- and there's ample room on the nut to fully and securely engage the threads.  I was able to get a light friction fit over the entire length by using feather boards on the router table and fence on both sides of the bit. I spun the bit at 13000 RPM- I'm not sure I'd go faster than that running the tongue.

A tip on the packaging- there are holes underneath the bit in the case that you can poke something through rather than trying to grab the bit up top.  And these things are super sharp.

Eazy Peazt Tongue and Groove

I am currently using this bit set to add breadboard ends to plywood shelves in a bookcase. This allows me to hide the plywood look with a nice hardwood look. This bit set works great.

Adjustable Tongue & Groove Bit Set

I have 3 wishes about the adjustable tongue & groove bit set; otherwise, this is a perfect solution for my kitchen cabinet door rail and stile making. Here are the 3 wishes:
1. Please increase the future router shank length by at least 1/4"-3/8" of the router bits intended for router table applications. I am using Bosch RA1181 router table with Bosch MRC23EVSK router in MRF01 fix base. I am also using Rockler Rail Coping Sled to clamp the rails for stable cutting. The base plate of the sled has a thickness of 1cm, i.e. router bit would need to be further raised to accommodate the additional sled thickness. However, the router bit is still too low to make proper tongue and groove cut for my 3/4" rail/stile tongue and groove cuts. To workaround this issue, I would have to pull the bit higher than the minimum collet marker by about 3/16" as shown in the attached photos. A slight increase of the shank length would enable more flexibility in the router table with sled applications.
2. Unlike the cutters of the tongue router bit, the groove cutter has no built-in spacer to keep the bearing free from binding to the cutter when the nut is tightened. To workaround this issue, I have to place one of the extra spacer between the bearing and the top cutter. It seems that this step is missing from the instructions.
3. Please provide the recommended torque setting for the nut. I have noticed that the bearing would be bound to the cutters if I have tightened the nut too much.

The shims that come with the bits are so thin, that distinguishing the skinny ones from one another is very difficult. Why not print the shim's diameter on the shims for easy identification???

Well I've definitely used Bette Freud router bits in the past. Like others trying to identify washer sizes is problematic. The setup instructions that come with it are a disappointment, although the ones online are much better. Nowhere does Freud tell you the depth of the groove and the first time the question is asked the answer it incorrectly. I think they misunderstood the question. This leaves you scrolling through questions looking for an answer. The bearing freezes up if you don't put a washer under it which isn't in the instructions. This has caused burns in some of my work before figuring out what was going on. Shank length could be better, especially if it has to be in the router to change the setup. I guess other than that once you figure it out it works really well.

The rail (tongue tool) carbide cutters were improperly ground and interfere with the bearing effectively freezing it. After grinding the carbide to provide a relief to allow the bearing to rotate, the tool worked well. I see in the reviews of the product that this is not a new issue. I'm disappointed that Freud has not taken proper corrective action .
