Absolutely love my ice maker!! Had it since Christmas %26 don't really have nothing bad to say about it. It is a bit louder than the previous one I had %26 sometimes it don't shut off when the ice is full %26 then that leads to some leaking from somewhere an there is some water on the counter to clean up but that's still better than the previous brand we had. It makes ice rather quickly and well the nugget ice is the BEST!! If I had one thg to advise to anyone that's purchasing this one, it would be to just make sure you run the clean cycle when the light comes on, and clean the inside of it also bc somehow it does get rather dirty inside there. It's definitely been great %26 well worth the money.

Makes great tasting nugget ice! Since there seem to be conflicting opinions about this unit recycling water, I can state that... I let all my ice melt and had a pool of water in the bottom reservoir. I purposely did NOT drain it or fill the top tank with more water and my icemaker DID use the water from the bottom to make more ice! I checked the bottom and all the water was gone. I hope this clears up any confusion over recycling!

Glad I bought this icemaker since my refrigerator makes the big "clunky" ice. It was a little bigger than I expected it to be but I can deal with the loss of counter space for the "good ice!"

Love my Nugget Ice

The ice maker functions perfectly; however, its kind of noisy. I would give 5 stars, but when the ice maker arrived, the inside was wet as if it was used. My hope is that it was not.  We simply followed the cleaning instructions and proceeded with using it. Were very satisfied with the outcome of this purchase.

Great product? New, unsure...

Absolutely love the ice! However within the first 6-8 months the machine started having a louder noise. Not unbearable just annoying. By 9-10 months machine will barely keep ice frozen. Not even enough ice for a cup. While I loved the machine when I purchased it, it is pricy not to even last a year.

Great ice but save your money!!!!

Loved the ice just wish it worked longer then a month!!  I bought my first one even with the negative reviews hoping as most everything you purchase has some negative reviews!  In January I purchased my first one not wanting to buy the GE that is twice as much!  Loved it until it started making screeching dinosaur type noises whenever it was in use!  We returned hoping we just get a bad one and I purchased another loved it and the noise was fine this time just the normal appliance sound.  I made sure this time I read instructions to the T and did the cleaning process on a regular basis, but a month and a couple weeks into having it and I ended up returning it as well.   I only used it when we were home, so it wasn't being over worked and still it quit working.  It would make maybe a cup of ice and then stop and would say add water.  I unplugged and started it again and a while later it stopped and said ice full when it was not even close to being full!  I am grateful it quit working within the return time still.  Walmart was super good and returned without a problem.  I would NOT suggest purchasing this.  They need to fix the problems with this machine and it should not be sold until it is fixed.

Don't buy unless you want to return it!!

This machine is terrible. The first one I ordered didn't work, it leaked all over the counter. The second one, was fine for a month, then stopped working. The third one arrived damaged. Not the box, or the packaging, but the machine itself had a HUGE dent. I don't believe it happened during shipping as the packaging was fine. The warranty services are ridiculous. I am so glad walmart refunded me.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

I can not recommend this machine.  I like the ice that it produces, but the machinery is loud and undependable.  As of today, my unit is in transit (at a cost of $92 UPS) for warranty replacement because the machine became louder and louder and eventually died.  The warranty required much documentation and we'll see how it goes.

Consider Other Options--Not an ideal experience

Kind of upset I even have to leave one star. We've had ours for 4 months, always used the self cleaning every couple of weeks… and it's completely quit working! Past the return window of course, so we're stuck with this big chunk of non-working metal.

Worst Ice Maker Ever.

Gave me used merchandise, I opened the the box and noticed the machine was wet. I immediately began to check the box and such. When looking at the shipment label I saw the my shipping label was placed on top of a old shipping label for a man named Chris in Carson city!!! I was livid, to add insult to injury the ice maker was extremely scratched up on the sides. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE NEW! Not refurbished not used not renewed but BRAND NEW!!

dangerous!!!! Top exploded off breaking the screws off like a pressurized cannon and shot out of machine. luckily no one was hurt. It was louder than it advertised,  made good ice though but didn't last 9 months. For  an appliance at this price , i feel it should have lasted longer.

Beware! could be hazardous. parts exploded off.
