Introducing the EFIC227, Ice Maker with Water Dispenser! Do you hate buying water bottles? Whether you have a small office, apartment or dorm room this personal water dispenser was made for you. This countertop model fits under standard cabinets, has a water spout and control panel for chilled water dispensing. So far I have used it everyday! It takes about as much counter space as a large Keurig. You would want to place it somewhere and not move it because it is pretty heavy. If you are using it for ice, you will want to plan ahead because it does not make much in each batch. I use the timer to set it to come on two hours prior to me needing ice in the morning. It takes approximately an hour and a half to reach capacity. I would say that it makes around 30oz of ice at max capacity. The water tank holds quite a bit of water. Over half a gallon. It recycles the water that melts from the ice if all of it is not used. FYI, the machine does not keep anything cold, it only makes the ice and dispenses water. The ice does melt quickly because it is bullet ice (hollow in the middle) and not solid ice cubes. I always use much more ice than I normally would. When it drops a new batch of ice, it is pretty loud. The making of the ice is quiet, it has a fan and sounds similar to a refrigerator cooling.

The best thing is that it dispense the ice you don't scoop it out, so it stays clean. But I don't thing I can relay on it if I have a party, every time it makes ice it makes like a glass and a half not more and if you don't dispense it It doesn't make more.

This is our second unit. The first one had a very loud rattle, like a bearing was loose in the motor. Sam's refunded me the cost right away and I ordered a second one. It arrived within a few days and works like a charm. Quiet too.

Second chances

Im kind of torn on this one between yeah and nea.  Some things i like such as it makes ice fast. But wish it had a dump bin. And it would keep the ice cold until i can get to it to dump. The  bullet cubes are small. But it beats the heck out of buying a whole new refrigerator. I don't have a whole lot of counter space so it eats up a lot of real estate on MY counter. And it is a bit heavy to move around.

Wish it made more ice

This will disappoint if you have more that 2 or 3 people in the household. It doesn't have the ability to be plumbed in and the water reservoir is small. The door on the water reservoir is flimsy and located poorly...on the side which makes it difficult to add water as needed. I will give it a chance but these are my first observations...I will update later. I would not recommend to a friend.
