Great performing air conditioner.  While having to go directly through your supplier, Frigidaire, seemed strange, they provided answers to all my questions and often provided information before I asked the question!  Received the unit in two days to my house!

Don't understand why your store only stocks the cheaper, lest efficient models?!?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was amazingly light compared to the 5000 btu twenty year old air conditioner it replaced.  My energy bill while running this new Frigidaire has been cut by more than 50 percent.  Run's quiet too.  Can't be happier.  Well worth the money.  Don't settle for just an air conditioner.  Make sure to get an Inverter one.  It will more than make up for the extra initial cost with month after month of energy bill savings.

I have not yet experienced a major heatwave but have faith this will do the trick. Excited about the inverter technology!

As advertised

An excellent machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For my air conditioning needs, I was deciding between an 8,000 BTU Inverter AC Unit and an 8,000 BTU Standard AC Unit, both from Frigidaire. Having purchased a Frigidaire 10,000 BTU standard AC unit last year, I was generally pleased with its performance, so I chose to stay with the same brand and opted for a smaller unit for my kitchen.

I was particularly drawn to the inverter model due to its lower operating costs—especially since electric bills in Connecticut are sky-high! Additionally, it dehumidifies more moisture from the air per hour compared to the standard 8K unit. I absolutely dislike humidity, so I often run it in Dry mode. This unit effectively reduces humidity, making the room comfortable and cool.

However, I do have a few concerns. First, I need to adjust to the fact that inverter units take longer to reach the desired temperature compared to standard AC units, which provide immediate cooling. Secondly, while it is marketed as quieter, I have noticed a low rattling, droning noise when the automatic fan compressor slows to its lowest setting. This sound isn't very appealing and makes me miss the airy white noise of a standard AC unit. Since it's located in my kitchen, it doesn't bother me too much, but I would think twice about using it in a bedroom or living room where one would spend more time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The AC Unit has performed well. The lack of compressor on-off noise is great. It had a major design flaw, however. When the compressor, which is mounted on rubber feet to allow it to move slightly during normal operation, reached a certain RPM, one of the copper lines attached to it rattled against the inner cabinet producing a very annoying noise. I fixed it by sticking some foam padding between the cabinet and the copper line. Noise gone! This required the removal of the top cabinet, but wasn't too difficult. This error should have been caught during product development and never left the factory in this condition.

Great AC Unit, but needs modification.
